AGR Rancher and Cowboy Folders?

placing the order for more Ranchers and Cowboys. TYhis time the handles will be Yellow Delrin®, Ebony Rucarta™, Coral Rucarta™ and East Indian Rosewood. The original "Farmers" knives from Europe all had wood handles in the beginning. Not much point in getting excited, if things run true to form it will be nest year before we get them.

Uh oh. That's going to be hard to ignore.

You will lose. ^
BTW, I have been back and forth with my Case Soddie and my Cowboy in my pocket but... my AGR Cowboy just won out. I just Really like this design!

A Coral rancher and a Rucarta Cowboy....or the other way around I think. Good thing that I have some time to save up for it.

Nothin wrong for a guy to like a Red handled knife. It's nice to know I'm not alone.

Well I hadn't heard of these until I poked my head into this thread. I really like the blade shape and the blade to handle ratio. Needless to say, I just placed an order for a Rancher :D

i was on the fence with the yellow, but ended up going with the ebony  Can't wait to get it!

Yull love it and I bet you get another but Yellow. Gotta have a Yellow.

Haha, that's what I'm afraid of! But the price is right so it won't break the bank which is nice.

I just picked up a yeller Rancher in my mailbox yesterday. This was a purchase from another Foruum member. Needless to say I join others in saying I am very impressed with the quality of this knife. It's a total winner. Probably the best fit and finish in a "cheap" knife as I've ever seen.
Another thing that A.G. is convincing me more and more of with his knives: I'm being won over to cam-ends versus half-stops. A smooth cam-end is a joy to open and close and makes a half-stop seem superflous, even annoying in its jarring action. Just my opinion.

I am completely sold on the cam end folder as well.

AG Russel is a crafty veteran of knife making. I once heard (read) him say that he liked his slip joints without the half stop, and I did not get it.

Now, I do. Without the half stop, the blade opens and shuts firmly, nice snaps in both directions, but the blade does not try to bite me at the half stop.

Many of the cuts I have received on my hands from my slip joints have been the result of a nice firm pull (which I love), and the half stop "jump".

Does anyone know of any vid of the Rancher/Cowboy?

A.G. has done vids of many of his vids, but I can't find one on these.
