Ahhh... nothings like a real knifeshop

I wish we had a good knife shop within an hour drive. I sold a couple of knives last month and my wife asked the reasonable question: "why did you buy them and then sell them?"

I had to explain that's how it goes when you have to buy knives without first getting to hold them and fool around with them a bit. I've bought a few surprises online that popped out of the box and should have had a little sign that said "Gotcha!" in the lanyard hole.
