Ahoy, captain?

I try to keep the "it's not ugly if it works well" mindset, but this knife sure does test one's resolve.

The flowing lines and contours are......... Oh forget it. That is one seriously ugly knife.

I agree. There's a lot to be said for functionality - except when it looks like a trainwreck of three (or more) functions all crowded into one knife. I generally like Spyderco designs - but this one ain't going on my "Must Have" list :(

It looks like someone reprofiled a blade of a different shape down to something different...it doesn't look at all like it started there. With a less radical blade shape, I'd be more interested, but hey, I was skeptical about hawkbills too until I used them...we'll see.

I happen to think it has potential.

Kind of a DDR Gun Hammer look about it. Good recurve for pull cuts. Good front for skinning, slash type cuts.

It's ugly, but I have no doubts that knife would hold up to anything I would throw at it. It appears to be relatively small, easy to carry, but overbuilt. It would be one hell of a beater knife.

The only thing preventing me from getting excited about this one is the liner lock:o

Whew, I thought I was the only one. It definitely raises the bar for fugliness. My first thought was that someone watched "The Hunted" and "LOTR" and designed a Tracker for Hobbits.

I like it!:D No weenie knife here. Looks like it is built like a tank. A Mini-Battle AX. Besides - functional ugly is for Men! - I mean after the "poliwog/Klingon 1/2 knife - eveyone loves it fest" - this baby is a sure winner. ;)

I like the blade shape but i will prefer beefy compression lock over liner lock.

Any info about blade lenght and shipping to dealers date ?

Hey I like it - it's all iregular and bumpy like me.

Definetly a functional survival woodworking type thing.

Kinda made me think of the blade on the Kershaw Offset, if that blade had run into a brick wall and compressed. I guess it'd be good for pull cuts and scraping. Even among Spyders that aren't necessarily good looking I'd have a hard time going for it as a casual purchase.
