i have received a tracking number throught paypal, but the usps website says that their is no record of this item......the provided tracking number is: 0307 4440 0001 8020 8455

please update.....

this is the second time i am emailing you with no repsonse.....

i have paid the amount due and still there is no record of the tracking number you provided.....it has been over 24 hours since you've provided the tracking number and it should be in the system by now......if you do not respond, i will make a claim with paypal sometime today.....

Look at the tracking page. It states it may take several days to be available. Your item shipped, then I gave tracking numbers. Priority, Delivery confirmation, and insured. Look at my history, not a single screwed buyer. Chill, it will get there, in great shape.

me 5/17 11:39am said:
no offense man....it was hard to get in touch with you and i was recently screwed over by a scammer on ebay and had to go through that paypal claim crap....just extra paranoid these days......

looking foward to getting the AK47....

Your last email was sent midnight lastnight. I just replied to it (check the time stamps.. a few minutes before midnight. I responded Sat. morning. Not quick enough for you? Now another one just hours later. Don't fret. Its coming. Post office is doing its thing, which does not always work at light speed, but I have done my thing, package perfectly, ship promptly, and update you with numbers. How long USPS takes to update their system is their business, not mine.

new from bladeforums, I would expect better from you.

like i said before, i was recently scammed on ebay, and i was extra paranoid about this whole thing.....like i said, no offense....i don't know if you've been scammed before, but i have and the negative effect is that, it make you expect the worst out of people.....

by the way, what is your handle on bladeforums???

me 5/17/08 11:52am said:
by the way, if you would've let me know that you were a fellow hog from bladeforums, i wouldn't have even worried about it in the first place.....

hey, what is your name on bladeforums???

by the way, it's been two days, and the tracking number is still not in the system....

if i knew who you were on bladeforums, it would put my mind at ease....

this is hilarious, and offensive at the same time.....

instead of being helpful, you have been condescending and actually quite rude.....

i've asked you for your name on bladeforums, and you've not provided one.....i wonder why????

the usps site says:

Label/Receipt Number: 0307 4440 0001 8020 8455

There is no record of this item.

Why Are You Receiving This Message?

1. Event information may not be available if your item was mailed recently. Please try again later.

2. The number was entered incorrectly. Be sure to enter all of the letters and numbers as they appear on your mailing label or receipt.

according to paypal, you claimed that you shipped this item on friday 5/16/08 7:44am....

it has been over 2 days since you have claimed to have shipped it......the tracking number should be in the system by now.....my wife works at the post office and i had her check the tracking number....it does not exist.....i will be leaving you feedback in two hours and i will also be filing a claim shortly if you do not respond to this email......

him 5/19/08 11:06am said:
When your item likely arrives today, and you clearly see on the box that it has tracking/delivery confirmation... and when you see in 3 days that the tracking begins to work... you may want to reconsider things.

me 5/19/08 11:13am said:
okay, the number is still not in the system....after three full days...the most it ever takes for a number to be entered in the system is one day.....

and why do you keep refusing to give me your name on bladeforums????

me 5/19/08 11:39am said:
it is possible you gave me the wrong tracking number....why don't you go double check???

and no repsonse yet........

i still have not filed a claim, or left negative feedback.......

I have had some issues with the usps tracking thingy recently. Bought some coins on ebay...said no history of the tracking number up until the day after it got delivered to my house. Hopefully is the same kind of thing with you. Just USPS being slow because they're busy with the new stamp junk.

i hope so....i'm still giving this guy the benefit of doubt.....

still have not left any negative feedback, and no claim has been made.....

when should i escalate the situation??? how much more time should i give this fella???

Relax and give it a couple of days. The tracking for USPS is hardly anywhere near real time. I have recieved packages before the tracking info is even updated at times.

You have at least 30 days to file a claim with with PP.

perhaps i am being too demanding.....

like i said in the emails, i was recently scammed by a deadbeat on ebay.....makes me extra suspicious of everything and everyone.....

the thing that bothered me was that he knew who i was here on bladeforums.....and when i asked him who he was, he dodged the question every single time.....

makes me think he is a scammer that saw a product with very high demand(the ak47), learned the busse jargon here, and posted it for sale, knowing he would get a buyer.....

the thing is, i checked his rating out, it was 144 ratings with 100% positive feedback.....

i was just worried that maybe someone hacked the account.....

As Ban stated... I'd give it a few days prior to doing anything.

BTW, I sent you a PM that might help.

Oink!

I also agree with Ban....give it a few days. Since you paid with paypal the worst that is likely to happen is you'll have to deal with making another claim. So you'll still get your money back, and be able to buy another AK. They still come up pretty often on the exchange.

New-

Just to reiterate what others have said, USPS tracking is pretty much worthless and the level of reporting you're seeing is pretty typical. I'm sure there are arcane rules about when packages get scanned and reported, but it seems pretty chaotic from the outside.

A couple of points - Your tracking info was delivered via paypal. Apparently, the seller used paypal to purchase the shipping and print the label. One level removed from the USPS. Also, this was going into the weekend. Some things move in the post office over the weekend but not much. In theory, Priority packages are touched but shipments below priority status aren't being transported.

Like others, I've seen packages arrive before the system ever reports their existence... say, over a week?? I've had packages that should have arrived in a day or two, take over 12 days.

What is the good side? USPS has yet to lose a package I've sent or that I've been waiting to receive. The overwhelmingly odds are that you're ok in this transaction. No guarantee, but the USPS tracking is pretty typical.

Got to agree with Ban and the rest. I live in rural AZ and do quite a bit of online shopping. (You know, for everything the Circle K doesn't have! :D) It isn't uncommon for me to sometimes get stuff before I get a tracking number, or sometimes MUCH later. It is also much harder when you're waiting for something totally cool. Sending good thoughts your way, though! :)

thanks for the responses ladies and gentlemen....i am breathing a lot easier now....

i was just on edge from the last time i was scammed...

the last time i was scammed, the deal went exactly like this one.....

- good communication from seller before the payment is made, bad communication after payment is received

- paypal identification seems to differ from identification provided in emails

- tracking number that does not exist

and in this case, refusal give their bladeforum name, because if they did, all this would be non issue......

i will take all your advice and patiently wait before i do anything....

just got a email from paypal with the CORRECT tracking number.....

i asked the seller to check the tracking number for accuracy and i got "stop bothering me" type of response....

turns out i was right, first tracking number that was provided was wrong!!!!!

Wow. Suspense. I think I know who the Hog might be and if I'm right you had nothing to worry about but I understand where you are coming from as it is a nice sum of cash and you have had bad prior past experiences.

and this one ain't too shabby either....

you and everyone else. That Dragon's Fang is probably the sweetest ever stick-o-infi ever.

I am the seller on the other end (new now knows this)

Time Line:
5-14-08 7:30pm Wed. you win the auction.
5-16-08 3:16am Friday you pay
5-16-08 Friday shipped before 1pm (do not recall the time), tracking numbers provided.
5-19-08 received Monday 8:45 am.

My add says 'usually ships within two business days,' and you got the sword in your hands way before that. I am amazed you had time even for so many angry emails... and with respect new, in your quotes above you left out a few of your emails, and you left out several ebay messages you sent as well. And you neglected to quote your colorful subject/title lines which you choose to communicate through, such as "Okay, I had enough of this cr&p."

If you want to take this to TGBU I understand, and I would be glad to communicate with you more there.... but I would rather toss this out, figuring you being agitated from a previous ripp off and taking it out on the wrong person, and I likely caught you during a rough patch, and me not being awake from midnight to 9 am on Saturday to respond fast enough for you, and having an error in the tracking number, got us off on the wrong foot. I would have told you my BF user, but the tone and attitude of the emails you sent me raised too many red flags that I thought it just best to advise 'chilling out' and waiting till Monday, when you would either get the sword (as you did), or I could be back home to check on the numbers and follow up better (as I did).

If you check my reviews of people in TGBU, you will see i generally disclose who I am to BF buyers who buy from me on ebay. Listed in my 'good' category are buyers and I specify next to the name that it was an ebay deal. There was no intent to deceive by withholding my user name, but rather to stay clear of a potential fight, which nothing but the come of Monday morning could resolve?

Turn the tables a bit,... could you imagine if I sent you 20 angry emails in the time between you winning the auction and you actually paying. Imagine I called you a deadbeat bidder and told you I will prosecute and leave negative feedback, imagine I used your same subject lines... It would be a little nutty right?

New, bro, I do not want to slam you. This is a relatively small forum, and we should all be buds and brothers in INFI. Lets both take a drink tonight. No regrets (except for me who lost my favorite AK)... I hope you like her. I see your contributions on this forum as positive here, as likely do many others.

heck, if you want to rate me as a seller, be sure to include comments on the speed of delivery, flawless condition of the blade, and my packaging job... as you will likely never see another blade packaged as well in your life.
