AKnife For "Suit-Wear": Do You Have One?

I don't want to be a jerk about this . . .lots of really good looking and finely crafted knives on display here.

And so, in the spirit of sharing information:

But I don't think the word , "gentleman knife" applies. A gentleman knife is recognizable as representing something, be it a lifestyle, such as a Gold Rolex, a large cigar or long cigarette holder.

Unfortunately I cannot typically carry a blade with me when I am wearing a suit due to a non permissive environment.

When I can carry a blade in a suit or half dress (quasi formal ish) it would either be one of my nicer but functional folders or the small lockback I inherited after my Grandfather passed. Basically a single blade very low profile slipjoint.

Sometimes I’ll rock the jeans and jacket. I have a kissing crane stiletto I will carry.

Haven't worn a suit (matching jacket and pants) since my wedding about 40 years ago. Haven't owned a formal type sportcoat for a couple of decades.

But if I did, I'd be carrying this Boker serpentine jack in 440C and ebony:

Still in a box since I moved out the ex wife's house, but a boker urban trapper is my go to; fits like a pen in the inside jacket pocket, very little weight so causes no bunching whatsoever

How "non-permissive" is that suit-wearing environment?

a courtroom or school . . .or what?

If the day comes that I'd have or wanted to wear a suit, I'd probably still carry my Sage 5 or my Civivi Elementum. Luckily, I don't wear a suit often, last time was at my wedding three years ago and I wasn't into folding knives back then so I didn't even bring a knife. And I don't foresee any event which would force me to wear a suit, lucky for me, so the Elementum stays in the knife box and the Sage gets all the love 💕
