AKnife For "Suit-Wear": Do You Have One?

I had to ask the Mrs. No, I currently do not own a suit. She said the one I was thinking of was from high school and we gave it to goodwill ages ago. Then there was the grey one, that was dad's, that didn't fit right, and the last one was tweed and I hated it and never wore it so she gave it away, too. She said I should know all of this.

Anyway, what I do have is a selection of "church" knives, most of which were gifts or free promos, the kind that tend to be more looks than function, so I'll pick one Sunday morning to slip in my pocket. They include the Spyderco Endura 4 in damascus; a slippy, sophisticated looking Boker Kwaken; a very satin-y Civivi Vagabond; my only Bugout that wears titanium; an old 110 that I keep the brass shined up on; and a composite Leek that has been a user but remained unblemished for so long I decided to polish it and preserve it better, among others. I bet I can count on one hand how many times I've used a knife at church since the plague.

I think what I'll do now is pick my favorite knife of that bunch, then go buy a suit to match, hopefully before the kids start getting married. And I guess if that don't work, I'll have to get a new knife to go with the new suit, based on suggestions above.
 
Have to wear formal and dressy-casual suits quit a bit for work stuff. Main thing I care about is the weight, and keeping it slim when I have to wear wool or cotton slacks. Lately I always just grab a ZT 0545. Weighs nothing, disappears in-pocket, cuts like a lazer, and has
a comfy solid 4-finger grip.

Worst thing about a suit is pistol carry, which I typically carry in my right hand pocket, with a folder in my left. It’s fine at court but for a wedding I will relent and go without a firearm.

On those rare occasions I will carry my only fancy folder in my right pocket where my pistol is supposed to be.

She’s a heafty girl but much lighter than my Glock. ;)

I have at least a handful of folders ,and few fixed , that would work fine .

But no suits or ties . Not anymore . ☺️

And, don't intend to go anywhere with a dress code , that I can't ignore . :cool:
 
I haven’t worn a suit since the day I got married 21 years ago. I don’t remember which knife I carried that day but it was whichever knife I carried everywhere else at the time.

I don’t have a dedicated suit knife but if I did, I suppose I would choose this Mike Alsdorf custom. I used it a little the first few years after I got but it’s been a safe queen for the last 8 years or so.
