Al Mar alternative

Hey guys I am looking for an alternative to the Al Mar ultralight falcon. I have one but would like to find something with a better steel( Al Mar had aus8). Also something that’s easier to replace. I was thinking maybe a Spyderco Native or chapparell?
I like the overall size and mid/front lock of the falcon. Any suggestions are appreciated!

On the steel front, have you actually used it? Al Mar did a great job on AUS-8, it sharpens easily to a wicked edge and holds it well.

Yes I have used it for years and totally agree they did awesome on the aus8, I’m just looking for something that is a little more modern just a somewhat similar design.

Also the knife I have in the photo is the hawk which is just the smaller version.

Maybe a ZT 0450? Al Mars are beautiful knives so I don’t know of many that are similar.

Yes that would be awesome but I’m also not sure that they came out with the falcon.

I had a large Resolza...quite liked it too, it did have a very light detent though.

I have both the Chapparal and the Native. For dress I will carry the Chapparal, actually as a money clip, it carries so well that way and the ctsxhp steel is an amazing choice for that knife, cuts like a laser. {CHAPPARAL -LW}. For heavier work and over all every day carry I carry the Native 5 LW in s30v. I love this one, the ergoes are almost identical to the Chapparal but on a larger scale, again the s30v is a great choice here. Chapparal is much thinner where as the Native 5 LW is more hand filling

I have been thinking about adding a water jet at our maker space and reblading classic Al Mars, etc In new suoersteels. Imagine my Sere 2k with a M4 thumb hole blade.

Thanks yes that’s a picture of my hawk that I sold and you’re right it hadn’t been carried by me. My Falcon has been carried and used I’ll post a picture of it later. Thanks for all the great recommendations!
