I just got some of the Timberlines in and ready to sell. They are really nice for the $$$$. Seems like a solution for those of us that wanted to see Columbia River use at least AUS-8. Here is a pic:

I have one of the Al Mar Wortac autos. Art, I know that there have been some fit and finish problems with Paragon, but this knife doesn't exhibit any of those problems. It has a good tight lock up and passed the spine whack test with flying colors. What I especially like is its size and heft. The way the butt is shaped, it would make a formidable blunt trauma instrument in the closed position.

Yeah David, just reading through the post and I had to admit somewhere, musta' been Bladeforum, that I was going to have to eat crow. I had picked one up at a show and found it to have outstanding lockup and great fit and finish. Looks like Paragon got it right on this one!

Think they could get any more screws into that handle?

I think an auto version may be in order for me (grins smugly while looking at new weapons import exemption license

Yea, what's up with all those screws?

I have been so pleased with my early Al-Mar version that I have put off getting the custom (for now).

Fit and finish are excellent, and lock up is as good as any other quality knife. I would highly recommend it!

Hopeya'll are happy now. This thread just twisted my arm and forced me to order a Crawford Wortac for Larry at BladeArt. Expect to be very happy when it arrives tomorrow!

Dennis, may be contacting you about a Timberline version.
