These pictures are from a trip to the Alabama Hills. (For those who don't know: the Alabama Hills are in California, not Alabama, at the foothills to the Sierra Nevada mountains, near Mount Whitney.) A rather odd looking storm developed, with dark, dark clouds 360 degrees around me, while a huge area of broad daylight remained, right overhead.
I made a nice series of pictures, but I was a little bit perplexed about how to bring out my vision for them. Consequently, this series has taken years to make it into public view. I took these pictures about 3 years ago, and started showing some of them about a year ago. Some, I've only presented publicly in the last few weeks. And there are more still, which I haven't yet presented.
I hope you enjoy them.
