Alabama Hills

Wow - great scenery but absolutely awesome photos. Some of us can't get to those places and even if we can, the lighting might never be the same. Thank you so much for your impressions!

Wonderful work...I could only ever hope for one shot as nice! Great way to start the day, thank you!

I especially like the one of the shafts of sunlight that parallel the ridgelines. You were in the right place at the right time.

That last one is a stunner. For some reason, and not trying to make a bad joke, but it reminds me of star trek for some reason.....I don't know why, it just popped in my head when I saw it!

I grew up in SoCal and spent a lot of time in Yosemite. I became a huge fan of Ansel Adams. He has competition now.
Great photos!

Wow,simply stunning work! Just Awesome.
kgd--LOL that's exactly what went through my head. Well,SI FI anyway. I was thinking of Lost in Space. "...Danger,Will Robinson".

Spectacular!

I used to go bird/bunny hunting in that area. Quite a history with the movie industry too.

DUDE! Are you kidding me? These pictures are awesome. Seriously, I haven't seen photography like this for a long time. These are unbelievable!

Beautiful

That was my favorite too. Love the last three in particular.

ETA: The one with the shafts of sunlight, feels epic to me for some reason. Like if I were in the picture, I'd expect to turn to my left and there would sit Minas Tirith.

Thank you.

Loosearrow, my main camera is a Canon 1Ds Mark II, but I also play around with other cameras, especially my cell phone.

WOW! Awesome pics! Some look otherworldly; however, this one looks like a painting, the symmetry and balance are near perfect! :
