Alabama Woodland Survival week!

Still in Alabama waiting to fly so I thought I’d post a few pictures of this week’s adventure in Alabama. Met some good people, ate some good food (not enough rice and chicken), camped out every night and got some new toys dirty. Jeff has some amazing pictures and I’m sure he will post some soon. It was good seeing Mike, Jimmy, and Jeff again, thanks guys for the opportunity.

There will be more in an upcoming article in SWAT but for now…a few pictures.

Get the full effect and watch the slideshow.

Looks like a helluva lot of fun. Thanks for sharing man. What's the custom in the pic with the firesteel and Bravo?

Looks like you had a great time Reuben, awesome photos as usual! The little river canyon is beautiful, thanks for reminding me it's been a while...it's only an hour from home for me, I think that's where we'll go camping first this year.

I had been considering switching to a Nikon... but the more I look at your pics the more I think I'm going to go with the Canon EOS.

Wow, looks great man! Good times!
Oh, and mistwalker, don't go to the other side, Nikon is great. I bet if you let Ruben shoot with a Nikon he's getting the same great shot's as with the Canon. "It's not the camera, it's the photographer" (and good glass)

Great pictures. It sure looks like a lot of memorable experiences

I also agree! It's mostly the photographer picking the right tools for the right job, combining with skill.

Great job bearthedog!awesome pics! I'd love to have been there looked like a great time!

Great class and great time had by all. One of the students stepped on the Copperhead in the photo but luckily didn't get a bite. Also saw three fat and pissed off Cotton Mouth snakes at the river crossing. Will be posting some photos soon and also adding new dates for some monthly 2-day courses we are about to start running in June.

Great pictures Reub! That course looks like a lot of fun. Next year, when I no longer have a day job, I'm going to have to finally get in on these ESEE trips.
