Albers Cutlery Company

After what I can only attribute to a warp in the space/time continuum, I finally made good on a drop (despite a solid record of many near misses and failed attempts).

This morning, I received an email with three of the most treasured words in all of knifedom: "Out for Delivery." 🤣

Looking forward to this afternoon... :)

Enjoy! I bet you’ll love it!

I tried, but as usual the one I wanted was sold out by the time I got thru PayPal. I’m picky, so I'm not going to go for any old cover material just so I can get a knife. Maybe next time!

The Albers has arrived, and, to put it mildly, I am completely blown away. Wow! This is truly a work of art. I can only echo the many sentiments in this thread as to the quality, workmanship and beauty of Eric's knives, and feel fortunate that I am finally able to experience this firsthand. The Corn Husk Raffir is absolutely inspired -- it is as if the plant fiber is suspended in amber, and the covers have a depth and dimensionality that is dynamic. The photos here really don't do it justice -- rotating the knife in the hand yields constantly changing views that are mesmerizing. The blade has an appropriately solid pull, and snaps into place in the half-stop and open positions. Spring is flush at the half-stop. Overall, the knife has an extremely solid feel.

Eric, I feel fortunate to finally own one of your knives -- it is truly a thing of beauty!

I don't know, but I'd say you did a pretty good job of capturing the depth. Really cool covers. Congrats on your being able to score one.
Eric always seems to have amazing cover options.

Thanks, Tim. And, glad to know the photos capture some of what I'm talking about. :)

To make these more attainable, what are the chances of an Albers forum knife?

That’s been asked and answered before:

“It'd definitely be an honor to do it but I'm just not equipped to do a 500+ run of forum knives at the moment. That's like a whole year's production for me!”

Post #3,005 here:

I was really excited to read a lambsfoot may be coming. But after several attempts to land a knife on the drops I am not at all hopeful of being able to get a lambsfoot. Think I'll have to just give up on these like I did GECs.

Great looking knives.

Fantastic looking my friend !!!            😍
Mine and Taylor's are currently listed as pre-shipment with a tracking number. Hopeful they will be on their way soon.
I expect it is a daunting task to package up all of the orders and get them out the door, especially if one person is doing it. 🤔

Updated to departed Post office. ☺️

They may very well be in transit. I received a package last week and the postal service didn't update until the day it was out for delivery

I've come back and looked at this several times now. I think you did good with showing the depth, it's quite visible to my eyes. Congrats on snagging such a beaut.

Much appreciated!!! I’m really glad to know the photos are successful in capturing the depth of those covers. It‘s as if there is corn husk floating in amber. Amazing!👍

and mine as well. Finely captured Jim !!! 😊
It reminds me of that small celluloid New York Knife Company Lobster and Pen knife I recently obtained. It has a depth, like you are looking down into it and parts of it are at different levels. Hard to capture 3D on 2D cameras.
