Always a pleasure to see the craftsmanship involved in making knives, especially since Eric is a one man show! On a funny note, I took my kids to tour the Canal Street Knives factory back in about 2010, and Eric was one of the craftsman there at the time!An experience for sure.![]()

I think it is maple burl dyed caribbean blue. I am often wrong though. I sure like all the great scale material Eric uses. Glad you like it.That is a special one.![]()

Definitely not caribbean blue…probably just dyed with some green. Pretty sure it’s maple though. I should write this stuff down somewhere but that would be like I had a collection. I have another Albers that I always look at it and think “hamburger.” Eventually “beefwood” floats up through my addled memory.I think it is maple burl dyed caribbean blue. I am often wrong though.
