I know Aldo is getting too much praise here lately, and it's going to force him to gain back that 85 pounds he's lost (all in his head!) but he stepped up and did me right and I wanted to make sure he got some recognition here for it.

I've sorta subtly ribbed him about it a couple times in the last couple years on here but he knows it's all light hearted. Hell, it took me 5 years to deliver a knife that was supposed to take 2 at most, so I'd have to decide if I was the "pot" or the "kettle" if I gave him too much shit about it. ;) :)

So while I ultimately know this thread is going to turn into a gay robot love fest for Aldo, at least I can rest easy knowing.... Er... uh... wait. I don't really have anything to rest easy about. It's going to the robot thing and we all know it. :eek: :foot:

i was ordering steel elsewere i kept seeing the name aldo pop up,over & over, i looked the price i was paying per peice and what his price was,and damn i was getting my a$$ burned,i bought some of his 1095 and will never turn back,my hamon lines are awsome,something i wasnt getting from the other supplier,does he have a special formula with his steel??? hell who knows, i know ill never TAKE MY BUSSINESS ANYWERE ELSE!!!

I'm with him! I just finished testing my first knife from his 1084, and couldn't be happier! After 2 hours of work and still shaving hair, I was impressed. From his customer service, to the quality of the steel, by far the best I have ever worked with. I know I will never buy anywhere else!

Besides, they're a pretty accepting group at Ashokan. They even let that lummox Mace sleep in the bunkhouse this year... couldn't you feel the walls reverberating with his snoring? One big, ugly, bear - for sure!
