I'm jonesin' for some of that 1070 too but hesitant to call Aldo right now. He sent me a big pile of steel last week and forgot to include the bill! :p

Don't or didn't know about it? It has been going on for years. A lot longer that is stated here in the thread.
I posted on the problems with admiral over 4 years ago. Forge get the shown join date. When my web service sold out, I had to rejoin. They sold out and I did it again. I had several thousand post before what is shown. You remember. Back when you guys were still claiming to be able to change the molecular properties of steel by hammering on it. Many of the Smiths gave me a lot of crap for saying it doesn't work that way. (Unless you use an H- bomb fro a hammer). I see that a few of you actually picked up a book or two and learned a little about steel.
Some have actually learned that you can't get the best heat treat with a torch. But it took years dragging some folks into the light kicking and screaming.

My hats off to you.

I fully apologize that my work is sought after by a lot of Collectors. I don't solicit them, or any one else. I must be doing something wrong. (and to add insult, they can turn them for twice or more than what they got them for. )

I know there are lots of issues between makers and other makers and suppliers. If you have a post that fits " Aldo is the man" then by all means post it. If you have other issues, or want to discuss another topic....start a new thread.

Any more complaints and I'll lock this thread.
 
You Guy's are a bunch of nut cases. Stacy, sorry for the delay. I had, in fact, put you on a list of Smith's to test the 1075. I happen to value your opinion a great deal and was hoping you would give me your honest opinion on the new stuff. Not even Mace made that list. When I saw your order I figured to give you one of the pieces you ordered as that piece and wrote you to explain. I just found the letter in my Drafts. Sorry.The 1/4 " is all rapped up and we are waiting for a Monday delivery of the 5/16". It should be on it's way Tuesday PM.

Mace, sorry I may have inferred that Aldo was either a robot, gay, or both!!! ;) :p

I love that pic of Aldo where he fell asleep holding onto the bar of steel. Must have been something precious like W2! ;) :D
