Aldo's new website

No wonder I could not get on earlier today! It is up but does not look finished.

I like the new links to get to the steels, you know what's there before you click it.

I agree it's probably still unfinished.

It's missing some things that were there in the past though, like square hawk stock.

and the photos
I don't see the point of a photo for each entry when it's the same photo in every position.

It looks good. I think that it is unfinished because on the main page, he tells you that you can find out about getting decarbed steel on the "ground steel" page, but alas, no ground steel page to be found........yet.;)

I sent a email last week about possibly flat grinding some stock. Said his new website would have the option of getting your steel ground.

Waiting patiently...

Just call, it's quicker. I just got some bars in this week that he flat-ground for me, the small extra charge is worth every cent. You'll make up the cost in belts and time

I bet. I just got a couple of pieces of 3V and while the decarb/scale layer is quite thin compared to some other non-Aldo stuff that I have, it is that hard, dark, shiny scale that any maker of damascus just HATES because it is so tough on belts.

This is the cover page up now while the site is closed for work.

He should add the phone number to that page

ha we were justs talking the other day about the website.... they cant stand the old one. i guess they moved pretty quicklyon that front.

Hey all,

I'm Pete Bruno, Aldo's son. I recently started a thread about our new website and a promotion I'm running. It also outlines a little bit of where we are hoping to take things from here on out. The thread is titled Aldo's New Site and Introductions. I appreciate all the feedback and hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more of each other, here on BladeForums and elsewhere.

Quick question on Aldo's PG stuff. Is it A) Grinding the scale off, or B) precision grinding the metal? I am assuming (a) since it still shows .103/.113 on the stuff I'm looking at.

The site is looking good.
