Just a note for everybody's information: email is just text; it takes up practically no space on your hard drive. If you never delete an email again and get a hundred emails a day, it'll take thousands of years to fill up your hard drive ... and by that time you'll have gotten a bigger one. If you don't want to keep it in your inbox move it to a folder you can name "old email" instead of moving it to the trash folder.

I create a folder for every transaction I have going. Like "BM705" or "Spydie-Native" that I keep around until everyone is satisfied. Then, I wait about a month before deleting it.

Nothing personal Keith, but I can only agree that the Canadian Postal Service is glacial in its performance. On this side of the border, with very, very few exceptions, USPS is fast and consistent. Packages I send to the East Coast typically arrive in two or three days via priority and within 5 days via first class. Standard envelopes (say like for money orders) typically take 3 days maximum anywhere in the country. There are always exceptions of course.

In the above example that I gave, Canada Post got my package to the U.S. in one day. From there it took five days to get to Texas. I realize that this is most likely due to Customs and not the USPS.

I have read many post here that have complained about the length of time it has taken for a package or envelope to get to another location in the U.S.. Many times I have read of things taking three weeks when they were sent Priority. It is good that the people posting here have had such good results from the Postal Service, but I can guaranty you that it is not unusual for it to take much longer than a week for a package or letter to get from one CONUS location to another.

On September 30th, I recieved an Email From FastJack informing me that my MO has arrived (there was a problem with my hand written zip code), and asking if I still wanted the knives or a refund. I replyed I am looking forward to the knives. I don't know if he has sent them yet. Perhaps there is a problem with one of our email services. I look forward to the knives. I wonder if post marks contain a date?;)

I am a little surprised that FastJack has come here to post that he recieved the money order. If you are going to be so quick to caution the member here about someone, you should darn well make sure that you post when the money order arrives so that people will know that things have worked out. That much is owed to EasEWryder.

Good point Keith, wanted to give Easewryder a chance to take the knives or not and he did not email about wanting the knives still until today, Oct 2th. And you are assuming things have worked out. We are having email discussions as to what he meant by his last post above. It is alot like the emails I received from him before he sent the money order. I was not sure if he wanted the knives or which ones he actually wanted. I just was not sure what he meant. So I was cautious. There is a little more to this than just a missing money order and I guess you had to be there to understand.

You are right. Good luck with this whole affair. I really hope things work out for the best for both of you.

Thanks Keith, and I guess I was just a little quick in being cautious on this trade. But then, I was spoiled, all my other trades (many!!)on this forum have been soooooooooo smooth. So I am mailing Mike his knives and the money order has arrived so we got what we wanted. Mark it up to miscommunication or whatever, but I apologize to Mike and wish him well in his future trades.

I just came home and my roomate was staring at a box he has been waiting for five hours to open in my presence-now that's AMAZING- 'cause he knew what was in it! The knives are exactly as described if not better, and IMO FASTJACK is A-OK to deal with. He was gracious enough to send the envelope I sent my MO in so I could see what the problem was and I assume to help me with my future deals. Thanks FastJack and everyone who offered their help in this thread!!!

EasEWryder;)

Alls well that ends well and am glad EasEWryder likes the knives. Also, am happy that Mike is one of the good guys and can be trusted in future knife transactions. Thanks again EasEWryder
