Imagine buying something like a coffee maker or a toothbrush, talking about it on a forum, and comparing it to another brand — and then, an hour later, getting an email from the owner of Philips saying, “Your warranty is void.”

That’s basically what happened here. Your friend Alex acts immaturely — nothing more than that.
 
your leaving out you asked for warranty work for something you bought second hand. so the maker cant say its a flaw on his end or from the original maker.

Allot of people bash Medford for being that way too but the dude still makes a great overbuilt knife. I don't think a couple peeps hating on him (Alex) will affect his business when he builds a quality sought after knives.
 
You still haven't presented whatever it is that precipitated his reply to you.

His reply was unprofessional, but it was a private email, according to you, and was not published on the web until you brought it here.

Since you still haven't provided the info which led up to the matter, we're going to leave it here and you can peddle this tempest in a teapot elsewhere.
