All about Bucklites and Selector's & 110's & 112's LTs and Slims ...

Oregon, my bad... I thought you said they had the orange ones at the Canadian Tire ... I just didn't read it right... I wish they had them there... Take care... ITE

Riddle me this ITE: Why would Buck make these orange 424s and not include them in dealer catalogs and not vend them thru Canadian Tire or any other known vendor and not advertise them in any way shape or form and not make them available online @ the factory store? Someone knows.

Oregon, I think they sold these ones on there Web Specials only sale, if I remember right... They were a BO knife... Maybe someone else can tell us more obout them... I was going to buy one but bought some other knives... I think they were only $15 or something like that... (more or less) it was a good deal... ITE

I don't think so. I never saw them, 0424ORS-B, online @ Buck Web Specials. Uh uh.

I did see the 422 and 426 orange Web Specials (now sold out). I bot some (how could I refuse $18 each and free ship if buy $50 worth).

Boomer, I was told that they are Build Outs... They had some old 426 and 422 Bucklite Handles and they are putting in the 110 and 112 blades to move them out... It's a good deal... So is the Bucklite set at Walmart for 20$... Anyone can buy the 426's from buck with out being a BCCI member, so go for it and good luck... ;) ... ITE

Did someone say "Bucklite III?" Who wouldn't embrace finding one in their Christmas stocking: <SNIP>

Thanks guys, I placed my order for (3) Bucklite III knives to avoid shipping charge, like a "buy 2 / get 3" deal. I figure at least one will be gifted and one utilized as a "folding steak knife" for my camping trips.

I believe Buck's web specials are already produced and ready for shipment, so I should have 'em within a week. I chose the Bucklite III as most practical "tool" size and not for collecting. I now own (2) older 110s, (1) NIB 112 which is a very beautiful Ltd Edition nickel w/ Sambar plus a CS knife on order and those Bucklites coming too. Rather than collecting knives, I should instead be saving my pennies for Krugerrrands (would if I could :D ).

Boomer, a Bucklite III will make a great EDC knife... I hope your happy with them and I would love to see a picture of your 112 Sambar stag on the SPS...
I use a 422 for my EDC knife... for the last 25 years... But I also collect Bucklites and just about anything that has Buck Knives on it and I also collect Coins...
Good luck with order... ITE

Did someone say "Bucklite III?"

Mr. Dave did, when I won this one in one of his swell giveaways. Like you guys have never seen one.

My ordered web specials for Bucklite III knives arrived this afternoon. All (3) boxes were labelled 5/23/2011 with blades stamped 426 (not 110) and "C dot" date code. Definitely not bling, but so much lighter (what a concept) and more compact in included nylon sheath. Even with same type materials and blade steel, I would not have purchased if this was an imported product, but what a deal for prox $19 delivered with tax for Made in USA quality. I'm not a collector, so honestly ask myself what I'm gonna do now (aside from my older 110s) with recently purchased NIB Ltd Edition 112 Sambar stag and also the CS 110 watercow on order and not yet shipped. These Bucklites actually appeal to me as EDC and yes with double-duty as folding camp steak knives. If you guys haven't already bought a few, consider doing so for your B-O-B or just 'cus...

Boomer, looks like you like your new Bucklites... That cool... Like I said they make a great EDC knife... Some of us like them and some of us don't... I think it's a Great knife for the money too... I like that the blade is stamped 426 and not 110... I hope to see some pics of your new lites on here and on the SPS... Lets us know how your new EDC knife works out for you... ITE ...:thumbup::thumbup:

I'm just trying to get all the different Bucklites on this post...

Here's my Clear Purple 422 that I got in a trade from Bucksway... This is one of my favorite 422s... Thanks again Clint for the trade... ITE

300Bucks helped me find some info on this knife, so I thought I'd add my Rangerlite to the thread as a first post here.

Yak, welcome to the Buck forum and thanks for posting your picture of your RangerLite Bucklite... I collect Bucklites knives as you can see... I really like yours and I want it... If you look at yours and mine, you can see that they are different... The year stamp on yours is a 1986 (I think)... Mine is a 1987 year mark... And the black stamping on the blade is different too... Mine just has the Royal Ranger emblem/shield on the blade... Yours has "Official Knife Royal Ranger" and Royal Ranger emblem/shield on the blade... Cool... Now I need to find me one like yours...

Here's some pics of my RangerLite...

Thanks again for sharing... ITE

ITE, yes, mine is a 1986 (symb0l is <), which is the year it was presented to me. I have no idea what these are worth, and did not intend to part with mine but you know what they say about selling...

Thanks for the photos, I am learning much about Bucks these days.

Boy I'd a sure loved to have had one of those Rangerlites back when I was in the Royal Rangers, but that was a bit before 86. I've still got my ole mess kit, canteen, and multi knife with spoon and fork on it. None of which have the branding on them.

Yak, so it is a 86... Hard to see the year mark in the pic... Is your box end the same as mine and do you have the paper work for it... email me for we can talk more about yours and I can tell you more about it... ITE

If any of you guys feel like letting go of some of your Bucklites, please let me know. A lot of my knives were stolen in the move, and the only Bucklites that I have are a 442 from 1997 and a new Bucklite Max 486. The 422 was used by my wife to pry open a window, so it's been reground. In the "loss" during moving was a very limited 75th Ranger BN 442 that I received from Uncle Sam. Wish I had a photo of it.
