Riddle me this ITE: Why would Buck make these orange 424s and not include them in dealer catalogs and not vend them thru Canadian Tire or any other known vendor and not advertise them in any way shape or form and not make them available online @ the factory store? Someone knows.
Boomer, I was told that they are Build Outs... They had some old 426 and 422 Bucklite Handles and they are putting in the 110 and 112 blades to move them out... It's a good deal... So is the Bucklite set at Walmart for 20$... Anyone can buy the 426's from buck with out being a BCCI member, so go for it and good luck...... ITE
Did someone say "Bucklite III?" Who wouldn't embrace finding one in their Christmas stocking: <SNIP>
Thanks guys, I placed my order for (3) Bucklite III knives to avoid shipping charge, like a "buy 2 / get 3" deal. I figure at least one will be gifted and one utilized as a "folding steak knife" for my camping trips.
I believe Buck's web specials are already produced and ready for shipment, so I should have 'em within a week. I chose the Bucklite III as most practical "tool" size and not for collecting. I now own (2) older 110s, (1) NIB 112 which is a very beautiful Ltd Edition nickel w/ Sambar plus a CS knife on order and those Bucklites coming too. Rather than collecting knives, I should instead be saving my pennies for Krugerrrands (would if I couldThat's cool, Boomer... I hope you get them in time for xmas... The 422s are my favorite Bucklites... But I collect them all (424s, 425s mini, 422s, 426s)... Try WalMart for that xmas Bucklite set for only 20$... ITE ...![]()
Did someone say "Bucklite III?"
Mr. Dave did, when I won this one in one of his swell giveaways. Like you guys have never seen one.

My ordered web specials for Bucklite III knives arrived this afternoon. All (3) boxes were labelled 5/23/2011 with blades stamped 426 (not 110) and "C dot" date code. Definitely not bling, but so much lighter (what a concept) and more compact in included nylon sheath. Even with same type materials and blade steel, I would not have purchased if this was an imported product, but what a deal for prox $19 delivered with tax for Made in USA quality. I'm not a collector, so honestly ask myself what I'm gonna do now (aside from my older 110s) with recently purchased NIB Ltd Edition 112 Sambar stag and also the CS 110 watercow on order and not yet shipped. These Bucklites actually appeal to me as EDC and yes with double-duty as folding camp steak knives. If you guys haven't already bought a few, consider doing so for your B-O-B or just 'cus...
ITE, yes, mine is a 1986 (symb0l is <), which is the year it was presented to me. I have no idea what these are worth, and did not intend to part with mine but you know what they say about selling...
Thanks for the photos, I am learning much about Bucks these days.
Boy I'd a sure loved to have had one of those Rangerlites back when I was in the Royal Rangers.
