All I wanted was a clip

Isn’t that crazy how that happens? I may never spend more than $300 on a folder again, only exception being a Hinderer XM 18 in the future, and I’ll never sell or trade it off like I did the others before.
Yeah eventually I'll get confident enough in my financial security to drop ~$1000 on an Alan Davis custom of my design, but otherwise I'm in the same boat. Having owned a ZT 0561, the Hinderer design wasn't a big hit with me. However, I do like the looks of the Firetac.

Good luck 👍 Amazon started my addiction. The first expensive knife I ordered (over $30) was a ZT 0450cf. They sent me a 0452cf by mistake and I was hooked after that.

There's no cure, but just like other addictions we can learn from those who came before us. Learn from others' mistakes. Let the trends come and go, and see what survives the test of time. Keep your knives sharp regardless of their price tag. Always own at least one Cold Steel product, ideally a dumb large folder. Know your knife laws. Don't baton a folder (unless it's a Cold Steel). Tip UP! Etc.

This thread is hilarious. Was just thinking the same thing last night when I looked in the XL army pack that I just toss my saved boxes in. Holy $hit have I bought some knives. I shudder to think how much I've spent in the last 6 month alone. It just doesn't stop. Microtech here, PM2 there, oh there's a Pro-tech, lotta Bokers, too many Bokers anyone want some Bokers?, where's the Kizer? I have the box... you get the idea. I have said so many times, 'okay, that's it, I'm done. Collection is complete.' HAHAHA.
