All in on jacks

Both of those Remingtons are super fine. I like all of those jacks in that post. That Ken Erickson jack has me awe struck.

This Taylors Eyewitness knife dates to the 1880s. It's just shy of 5 inches long closed.

@ s-k: This jack is absolutelly outstanding. Seems to be a pretty condition, in this age... Nice old guy :)

Kind regards

This knife is a 3-Dot (1977 manufacture) Case XX 6292 "Texas Jack". The bolsters and liners are nickle/silver and the shield is pinned. The scales of this knife are mismatched. The shield side (mark side) scale is brown while the back side (pile side) scale is black.

Ed, I like to think of them as "black and tan". It's still a great looking knife. Elliott had one that was similar to it and I've seen others. Ed J

Ed -- Go to page 1 of this thread and you'll see another Case 6292 that I have (1-dot 1979 manufacture) that also has mismatched scales. It was common in that era and earlier that Case would put mismatched scales on their knives.

Well, I like thinner, single blade knives so I keep going back to my favorite Indian River Jack.

Time to bump this thread. :)

I agree. Here is the Camillus jack you sold me several weeks ago. Just a couple days ago I ordered some hunter green jigged bone with which to rescale it. I've always wanted a dark green jack knife, can't wait to see the finished product.

Sounds nice man. Should look alot better than the stock, black scales.
