If anyone is interestead we are going to start a passaround for an all metal karambit folding training knife.

Description:
All metal construction, with metal dull rounded safety coated blade and wave
opening feature, 4 3/4" closed, black G-10 handles, stainless pocket clip,
weight approx. 4.1oz

This knife is cool it can do everything your emerson wave can do except cut you. It is great for practicing tactical deployments, quick draw practice, and limited training partner techniques, etc.

For pictures e-mail me or you can see pictures at web site www.indianacombatarts.com

Thanks,

Sandi Linderman:)

I think most people will be firstly concerned with is if you have licensed or have approval of Mr Emerson to use the wave.

Dave, you so eloquently hit the nail on the head.

First of all let me first make it clear I stated that the trainer "can do everything an emerson can do except cut you". I did not say it was an Emerson.

Second I used the term "Wave" my mistake it is has a "notch" opening feature. Sorry

Third we are in no way violating any US patent, trademark, or cpoyright laws. I assume you are not recieving fees for being an attorney otherwise you would know these laws and how they are applied.

Fourth by your response I take it you have no intrest in the passaround. God Speed.

Fifth: Along time ago my mother told me that I should be wise and not follow the crowd and spend my hard earned money on a pair of jeans that cost $100.00, when I could buy the same pair without the expensive "label" for a fraction of the price and still have what I need to get the job done.

Please take the time to do your own research on copywright, patents, trade marks as we have done. Give them a call United States Patent and Trademark Office #:jerkit: 571-272-1000

You and your "hand job" can eat me.

You use the Wave feature and the "Wave" terminology, you actually even use the Emerson name, and you are surprised that someone would call you on it?

Are you insinuating that you have actually researched how to rip off Mr. Emerson's idea AND his name?

I'll refrain from saying what I'd like to say in the spirit of this is a family place.

Oooops sorry about the hand job I meant to click the smile face lol .
Again we never stated is was a "Emerson". We simply made a statement that our product can be compared to an "Emerson". Which it can! We did not know that the name "Emerson" was not listed on the freedom of speech act. We are not ripping anyone off. In fact we are simply providing a product that is affordable to the everyday consumer as an alternative to speending hundreds of dollars on a device that can get the job done as well as more expensive brands.

We have nothing aganist Emerson knives and or Mr. Emerson. In fact I own several emerson knives and like their products --but I can afford to spend hundreds of dollars on a knife. Some people can't so why is our providing an alternative less expensive knife trainer ripping someone off.

We have gone through great lengths to research to insure that we are not violating or infriging on anyones product. While still producing an affordable / cost effective training product.

All we were doing was offering the people on the forum a chance to hold, use, play and evaluate the trainer and see for themselves the quality and affordability of the trainer. If you do not wish to take part thats fine.

We also respect this forum and the "handjob" you referred to is an icon obviously approved to use for people responding to what they feel was an insult or whatever. Of course the handjob we posted was a mistake but we can see why people would choose to use it.

Bottom line we understand that you do not wish to be part of the passround. Again God speed

Sign me up for the passaround but when I get it you can count on me sending it to Emerson knives as their Exhibit A in a patent infringement case against you.

Did you really think you could pass off your cheap knockoffs on a knife forum?

a pair of jeans eventually has to be replaced, cheap, knock off, poorly made, replica knives eventually have to be replaced... emerson knives do not. In the long run who is saving money?? :jerkit:

This is ridiculous. Again we are not nor did we say this was an Emerson knife. You are acting like we took the knife and labled it an Emerson. Which we did not it happens to open SIMILAR to an Emerson.

Why don't we go back to the caveman days and everyone that has made and sold a knife from then on should be sued by the first cave dude who made the first "cutting" tool. Or why don't we go back to the phillipines or Indonesia and anyone who has ever made a "Karabit" or knife with a finger ring lets sue them.

In fact lets sure everone that has ever made a similar product.

Don't be threatened due to the fact we have a great product the is $100's cheaper than the name brands but just as good. Trust me these other makers could make there products cost effective also but some people like to pay them big money. So they keep those prices up there for people who like to pay for name brands (and thats fine). And of course people that are attached to those companies get threatened when someone reveals the truth and are honest with their prices.

Just like everthing else in life usually when someone hates you for no reason it is due to the fact they feel jealous or threatened by you for some UNKNOWN or HIDDEN reason.

You have never even held or used one of our training knives how can you insist that it is a cheap knock off. We actually have a lifetime Warranty on the trainer so we stand by our product and the quality.

This is a TRAINER not a live blade and AGAIN we are not passing it off as an EMERSON as is clear by the orginal post. Maybe we should all stop eating hamburgers becaues they might contain some of the same ingrediants as McDonalds.

But hey to each his own. Don't worry we will not do this passaround and let honest people make an informed judgement for themsleves regarding the quality and cost of the trainer.

How can you lose money if our knife was to break we will replace it free.

However Roshi and GBeninati if you would like to purchase one of the trainers and then you can make an HONEST appprasial regarding the quality and cost of the knife. We were passing the knife around to the member of this forum so obviously we stand behing the quality of the trainer or we would not be letting people evaluate for free.

But hey we get it if we are not welcome in the Forum thats fine we will take our products, ideas and give them to people that valule quality at a great price.

For those of you that are not closed minded followers (or expensive name brand dealors) and understand a quality deal that saves you money please visit our web site.

We consider the Passaround closed and God Speed to all.

So we are doing knock off passarounds now? :thumbdn:

I was on your website and noticed you have the fixed Emerson Karambit for sale on your site then you turn around with this piece of shit knock off of the Emerson trainer? Really bad form pal!

I don't doubt you own at least one Emerson. You had to have used one of his Karambits to make your design rip off then plasti coated the blade so you can swear it is not a rip off of the design. The problem is not getting a pair of jeans for less money it is when you start stitching LEEVISs labels on your home made jeans in hopes to profit off the obvious rip off based on the LEVIS name!

"In fact lets sure everone that has ever made a similar product"

Similar? Come on your traininer is not similar it is an exact copy with the blade dipped in plasti coat!

"Don't be threatened due to the fact we have a great product the is $100's cheaper than the name brands but just as good. Trust me these other makers could make there products cost effective also but some people like to pay them big money. Let's not forget actually designing the product and putting in some research in how to build it right only to e later ripped off by somone who hopes to profit from that design and hard work involved in comeing up with the design opriginally.

"But hey we get it if we are not welcome in the Forum thats fine we will take our products, ideas and give them to people that valule quality at a great price."

Little correction here it is your product based on others ideas .........

Well, actually I've seen those cheap china knock-off karambits in ebay. My guess is that he buys'em in bulk from the manufacturer in China and since no self-respecting knife nut would buy such a piece of crap then why not cover the blade in resin and call it a "trainer"? indianacombatarts: you know you are wrong by contributing to the manufacture and sale off knock-offs that infringe and damage the good work and name of hard working americans like Ernie Emerson. I'm a karambit instructor and I'd never endorse such a practice.
