All gone.
Selling these because I fell on hard times and I'm having to move again. I need the money and someone else could get better use out of them.
Shipping would be expensive, and I'd have to take apart the grinder for transport, so I'd prefer someone pick them up. If you wanted to pick them
up I'm in SE Oklahoma.
I'm open to offers. Now open to partial trades.
I bought these in 2024 and I've only used either a handful of times, maybe 15 or so, and I did most of my handles on cheap belt sanders,
so not a lot other than knife steel went through the grinder.
Let me know if you have any questions or need more pics.
KMG Classic Grinder - $old
Has standard platen attachment with arm and workrest, and I've added: spare arm with 8" rubber wheel, small roller attachment with wheels,
and a large plate attachment that pivots for bevels. Also comes with some extras.
This one has the 4" drive wheel, and has the 1.5hp motor which works on both 110v and 220v.
I've oiled it down with protective lubricant to shield all the steel components from the humidity here in OK, but basically looks pretty new.
Probably only 40ish hours of use on the motor. Bought straight from Beaumont. This was $1825 new.
Knife Dogs Kiln - $old
Standard kiln from them, but I'll throw in a 5 gal bucket of Parks 50 quenching oil, and some extra things like a fire extinguisher, gloves, cleaning brushes, etc.
This one is wired for 240V, 1-phase, 9 amps and has a NEMA 6-15P 15A plug. I have a dedicated 10ga wire run to my shed with a 15 amp breaker and it works just fine.
Used to treat some 8670, 80CRV2, and a little 26C3, only fired it up about 10 times. Bought straight from Knife Dogs. This was $1650 new.
Ames Hardness Indicator, model 4 - $old
Bought this secondhand, works perfectly. The box is old and beat up but the instrument looks really good. Has the proper tip and workings for knife steel testing.
Extras: I'll also throw in some leatherworking stuff, loveless bolts, brass and steel pins and tubes, and many other misc. items you can dig through.
Make me an offer, I just need these things to go in the next few weeks.
