All Spyderco becaming illegal???

The government has already taken motorcycles designed for children off the market...these guys are just getting warmed up.....
 
I think Kniferights.org is telling people not to write until they get the actual facts (most of what's being disseminated right now is extreme hyperbole).....the reasoning behind this is that they want people who write to be well informed enough to make an intelligent argument and not just sound like extremists/seperatists/whathaveyou. If this angers you, go to kniferights, and arm yourself with the facts....misinformation will only make knife enthusiasts look like a fringe group, which will only make it easier for them to take away what freedoms we currently enjoy.

Customs has decided to reinterpret how it views switch blade knives to include knives opened via inertia imparted on the blade through pressure by the hand. It's hard to explain, best to just read the Announcement Spark posted.

While you may have been able to revolt when the constitution was written and rifles were the cutting edge of technology that is no longer a possibility. If you are refering to the ideology that we, as Americans, have to control our government with force you have to keep in mind that Americans work for our government, and if there ever was a "takover" on the governments part it would split the government as well as the people. Can you really imagine every U.S. soldier shooting down armed U.S. citizens because they were ordered to do so? No, soldiers would revolt as well and bring the heavy artilery to our side.

If that were true (that we no longer pose a threat as U.S. citizens) then why would they try and pass such a bill in the first place? Obviously we are a threat, and for them it will be easier to control us when we have absolutely nothing.

There are not enough tanks and helos to take us all out, and not enough peopel in the military who would ever do such a thing. Think about how many soldiers would revolt by using our governmets tanks against them. Patriots work for our government too, and are on our side to begin with.

That being said, the best way for the governmet to take us over is slowly, like they are doing now.

I do agree with you that these legislations impact the effectivness of our tools, but you can not say that being armed is useless or a right that is not worth getting worked up about.
