No harm, no foul. If you were promised a chance at that knife a few months ago I can understand your disappointment. You should have emailed HDCharlie, not brought this up here. Anyway, all you were due was an apology, nothing more. Memories fade after a few months and emails get deleted. That's what must have happened to the one you sent him, and the one he sent you back, right?

Jaxurman, you have done nothing but hurt your reputation on this forum. Was it worth it?
 
jaxurman,I fail to see where Charlie intentionally bypassed you.I'm sure he has numerous correspondence and this was long enough ago that it is quite possible he forgot about your previous e-mails.I think your blowing this out of proportion and could have e-mailed him a reminder of your prior agreement.Even then he is not obligated to sell it to you,and it certainly wouldn't make any sense for him to sell it for less.I've never dealt with either of you,but Charlie appears to have a history of integrity here at the forums.I believe he realized that he had done nothing wrong to require that he offer you a free 250.00 knife.I believe giving you this knife also would have given the impression that your mud slinging was warranted.I think he did the right thing and certainly this change of mind is not an indication of his "word" not meaning anything.I also believe you are way out of line with your abusive posting on this thread.If anything all your positive feedbacks have been seriously underminded by this behavior.By the way I'm a "FATBOY" do you have a problem with big people?Take Care,Ralph
 
everyone here on the forums seems to be missing the point thanks for the many e mails and support of my position especially to those like dark nemisis ALL of my dealings here and anywhere have been HONORABLE period no exceptions i apologize in general to any of my comments that may have offended anyone who has dealt with me knows i pride myself on giving 100%of mysef in my deals i am intense to say the least and like almost everyone here who collects i too am trying to have "the ultimate collection period " i am a man and my dealings are all i should be judged on i care nothing about anyones personal life gay straight or otherwise it not my biz only as long as they are honorable on the forums in their dealings dirt has been slung about me from day 1 yet not one person can come forward and say anything about me except that i am truly a man of my word !!! i fear no one i disrespect no one yes i wanted the allen blade knife and yes i was pissed because charlie lied to me i never asked him for a knife he made the offer sometimes we work off feelings and thats what i did when greg made the comments to me and for the guy who called me a whiney ass bitch i invite him to call me that to my face i will apologize to greg as i did not in any way mean to imply that he is a homosexual when in fact it matters not to me if he is or isnt certain people seem to think that in order to deal with me that i demand you first put up a good post about me this too is another lie as is that i am a dealer well guess what i am a collector /hobbyist i have an extensive collection i do not have a store nor am i a dealer for any maker or manufacturer i do this as a way to have fun meet people and to relax my job is taking care of a father who is terminally ill in the final stages of cancer after a courageous 13 year battle a man who takes 30++ pills a day a man who means more to me than anything or anybody try and watch someone you love more than anything waste away ive watched my dad lose 12 pounds in 2 weeks he is now 142 nearly 6 feet tall this is what is important to me not a piece of steel valued at $150.00 im tough on people who dont keep their word to me not only on the forums but anywhere my word can be taken to the bank to those who know me ,have dealt with me, they can attest to my generous nature and my kind ways seems as though i was tough on charley yeah but 2x the man went back on his word to me it aint so much the knife i was going to buy or the knife he said he was going to send as a "guilt"offering when he knew he messed up on his word and i called him on it it was principal folks thats all it was as for this to snowball i am sorry again to any innocents out there in general who may have got caught up in the moment as for the few who have said they choose not to deal with me that is their choice and their loss im into knives not peoples personal lives i dont care jyust as long as our dealings are straight i know who i am and what i am about and where i come from im not here to impress anyone i treat people GOOD VERY GOOD !!! when it is deserved and when they treat me right i believe you treat people the way i wanted to be treated my track record speaks for itself i am a good guy to deal with fair honest aboveboard i dont know personaly any of the above people i did a deal with dark nemisis annd he can attest to the fact i am a man of honor and integrity !!! thanx i hope this can clarify and end this unfortunate incident again i apologize to any forum members that i may have offended it is only my intent to improve my collection and sell and trade knives as honestly as i can possibly be thanks jack aka jaxurman
 
I'm sorry to hear about your father jaxurman.Sometimes people overeact and say the wrong things because of problems/stresses they maybe having personally in their life.Your apology is accepted.I vote to letting this thread end.

Sorry I attacked you that way Jax. However, don't say things like "I would like to see him say that to my face." when you know nothing about the person saying it. The reason I said what I did is because of how you were conducting yourself on here. I gave you a childish, smug, sarcastic toung lashing, (it was a verry stupid post I made) But it matched your equaly whining, childish, ignorant post you made. It was all verry stoopid. I will remove my terrible attack on you as it was uncalled for. I have been on this forum for allmost as long as I have been on knife forums, BOB26, and I hate to see posts from people that are like the one I made. You didn't deserve it no matter how you were acting on here.
Also on a more serious note, I'm sorry to here your father is terminal. It's a horrible thing to go through. My best wishes are with you Jack.

I know this isn't any of my business, well unless of coarse you consider the fact that you posted this attack in a public forum making it everyon'e business, but I have to throw in a comment or two.

First off, I don't think that I could express my feelings on this subject any better than KodiakPA has previously already stated. Please feel free to reflect on his comments and consider them also to be my opinions as well.

I feel as if you have unrightfully slammed the good name of HDCharlie and all I hear from you is excuses, I meant to say apologies, to everyone else except for him. He didn't do anything wrong to you other than maybe saying that he'd send you the Meerdink fighter so that he could make a wrong, that he didn't even recall, right. This was clearly a kneejerk reaction from a man who values his good name more than a $250.00 knife. That's all. Period!!! I mean, clearly as HDCharlie has already stated, he would have made more money selling the knife to you, right?? So why wouldn't he then?? Please!!!:barf:

So, I guess what I'm trying to get to here is that I don't like what I've seen here so far from you. You operate like a dealer. So in my eyes, and I'm sure in the eyes of many others, you are a dealer!!! You don't need a storefront or a company name, or website to be selling knives on the internet for profit to be considered a dealer. You just need to post as many knives for sale that you do and then sell them, make a profit, buy more knives, and then post & sell them. This makes you a dealer.

And to ask for a good review of a sale.........:barf:...again!!! That's just simply poor form and it displays of a general lack of moral fortitude on your behalf.

This is a good question that Lifter has asked. You sure do remind me a lot of a "Jax Yand" that was posting here, at BFC, for a short while. He seemed to disappear shortly after This Thread/Flame War was posted. I know he posted again after that but then seemed to just vanish. Hey maybe I'm wrong, and if I am I will apologize to Jax Yand for dragging his name into this, but if I'm not then this whole situation with you stinks and is worse than I even originally thought.

Also, just another thought for 'ya....
I don't know if I previously mentioned this or not, but you can post an apology to HDCharlie here as easily as you posted the question about his integrity.

This knife features a 9" blade from 1/4" 5160 that has been differentially heat treated (you can see a nice temper line) as well as a Micarta handle and silver double gaurd. The knife has never been used or sharpened, but the clearcoat finish shows some marks from the black Kydex sheath. For trade I am looking for a Denning or Hendrix hunter with a blade length of 3.5" or better. I will consider other makers if the hunter fits within my diminsion specs. No stag please. For those that would be interested in a straight purchase, the price is $185 shipped to the lower 48. I can email a picture on request.
