Today I received one of Allen Blades 9" Combat Patrol Bowies. The knife is a beauty. Allen kept me informed through e-mail and telephone calls of the progress and all minor delays (sheath hardware supplier problems and USPS) throughout the build and delivery process. I e-mailed him right after the knife was delivered to say that it had arrived. He even telephoned me after receiving my e-mail to see how I liked the knife. Allen is a very easy maker to deal with and I would highly recommend him and his knives to anyone. In fact, during our telephone conversation, I ordered another knife, one of his Recon Patrol Leaders.

I just got a sheath from Allen and he does some great work. Not only that, but he keeps you informed as stated above. I received emails updating me on the progress and he quickly responded to any questions I had.

I plan on buying at least a knife or two from him in the future and sheaths as well.

 
I just ordered a Chipmunk from Allen after reading Chiro75's small fixed blade review. Seems like a genuinely nice guy, very easy going!

Allen is a gentleman and craftsman. Soon, he will realize that he can get more money for his work... order now... I got two talonite knives from him and have another "special project" I have been pestering him about... come on Allen, make me a talonite and titanium ********!!!

Let me add to the praise of Allen. Last Fall, I posted a question in the Shop Talk forum asking the best way to remove the Kargard finish from one of my knives. Allen responded with advice and offered to do the work for me at no charge.

In my email to Allen I told him he should be charging more for that Chipmunk, call me crazy, but $60 is cheap!
