For anyone here that is waiting for a knife from Allen Blade...uhhhh...Don't hold your breath.

Allen's new wife Cori posted this on their EZ_board forum.

Well, we have tried to make this business work here in Maryland but it can't be done within the budget we have for the orders due to having to order all the supplies we need because they're not accessable to us where we are and to drive to get them or order them and pay for shipping is killing us financially so we are moving to the west coast, cross country so we can continue to produce and ship top quality knives and videos for all of our customers. It's not fair that you have to wait because we have to wait for supplies so we are moving to eliminate that problem so we can get the business back on track full time and keep all of our customers happy and satisfied as we like them to be. We sincerely appreciate your patience and hope you understand why this move is necessary for the business to survive and thrive. Wow moving cross country with 4 kids, this should be good!! Again, thanx everyone for the great attitudes and unlimited patience, it is not unappreciated so please don't think it is, have a great week!!!!!!!
~ Cori ~

Besides the people that will not be getting their knives I really have to feel sorry for Cori and those four children. They've got a long hard road ahead of them in more ways than one. It seems you don't have to be married to him or even in the same room to get screwed by him.

I have no personal interest in this, but I have followed the saga, and all I can say is, WOW! I can't imagine how this could be a sound financial decision.

I moved cross country earlier this year. I don't have any children and it was still a major pain. And very expensive. Fortunately, I had a relocation package that picked up virtually everything (your tax dollars at work :p), but it sounds like Allen and family are just digging a deeper hole. :(

So what's your point?

Allen doesn't respond on his forum or to e-mails either, he leaves that to Cori.

Thats ashame Phil. I knwo you have been waiting on your knife for quite sometime. I know in chat several months ago that Allen said your knife was done, and just lacking a couple of minor cosmetic deals. I see that after all this time that after the "move" to his current location that a couple of knive have trickled out to a couple of people and your knife is seemingly just sitting there. I wonder if its indeed even made yet. I wonder if it will ever be made. I was sure hoping that this time Allen would fly the straigh and narrow as I have always liked the chipmunk and really wanted to order one if his problems cleared up. Its not looking promising though. Good luck Phil and others who have been waiting for a very long time for knives

Just what are those old tricks phill? Would that be his lousy buisness sense, a divorce, a new marriage, a move accross country, four children to take care of, up and moving cross country again so they can keep their prices down? Yep those are his old tricks! You got him on that P Hill. Whine, whine, Whaaaa, Whaaaa, you think he is up to "his old tricks again" because he has Cori answer e-mails and posts buisness related threads instead of the man himself? Isn't that what you people thought would be a good idea so he could be out in the shop instead of screwing up orders? Damn! Give the guy a ****ing chance. Man if I was Allen I would make your knife a priority, get out to you and wouldn't take your money again no matter how many knives you wanted!

UP TO HIS OLD TRICKS AGAIN? YEAH YEAH YEAH  :barf:

Sorry to hear things arent working out for you Phil, Chad and others. SSDD And be carefull Phil, the truth will get you sued!

Thanks for posting the link, Chad.

... I will truly enjoy reading your LAST post on this forum until I delete it ...

Looks like a dialogue can't take place on that forum, either. If everyone who wants his knife/money back gets banned from http://pub39.ezboard.com/bknifenutcommunity
and their posts deleted they can only post here on TGB&U, and although as far as I know Cori has not been banned from Bladeforums she seems to prefer to respond on that forum to messages posted here. I guess the only way we can have anything resembling a dialogue between Allen & Cori and the people they owe knives and money will involve a lot of linking between one forum and the other....

Well, I did hear back from AB telling me what a POS I am, and I tried to respond over there to his last post, but it seems I have been banned.

So, in a final response to him I will post here.

Take that for what its worth PHIL and i look forward to reading more of your slamming Posts in the future, but i will know that i sent your STAG back and no longer need deal with it. I will order some stag of my own to finish the knife and sell it to somone who doesnt feel the need to insult somone into finishing it ahead of other people that were first.

~ ALLEN ~

Ya know what's funny, you told me the knife was made, Cori said she saw it ready to be finished, and still you can send me back my stag in the same condition I sent it to you? Hmmmmm.

You don't have to look for any more posts about you, I'm done. Except to tell you where you can put that knife.

"The older I get the less I listen to what people say and just watch what they do."

I've just been informed Chad has not been banned from http://pub39.ezboard.com/ despite what Cori posted. I don't know, maybe Cori was excited when she wrote that and has calmed down since and won't ban him after all....

So I ran straight over here to post a correction ... and now I see even if Chad hasn't been banned, Phil has. I dunno.... I'll still post the correction, for what it's worth.

I think "his last post" that Phil responded to above is I NEVER COMMISIONED PHIL for anything ! ! !! PERIOD !

I'll appreciate it if people who know how post links to anything over there that they respond to here -- it'll save a lot of chasing around looking. If you don't know how to post a link I'll chase around and try to find it ... that's what I get paid the big buck$ for....

While I've never dealt with Mr. Blade. . .I totally understand and empathize with PhilL's frustration and position ! It's gets extremely annoying when "someone" makes promises and over time does little to substantiate or solidify their promises !

What a shame ! Been there ~ done that ! Or. . ."Same $hit ~ only the names have changed to protect the guilty !"

"Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in."

I just read AB's comments from the thread that Cougar posted, and all I can say is AB has no touch with reality.

The illustration started with drawing he sent me and a request to start a thread, "Name this Knife?" He is correct I was glad to do it. He then sent me four other knife drawings and asked could I work on them, I said sure. I did a total of seven illustrations. He offered to make me a knife and I said rather than an Equinox how about the dagger I had done for him, and if I sent him the stag would he use that instead? He said no problem and I sent him the stag in Nov. Every time I heard from AB or saw him in Chat I was told the knife is made just some finishing work to be done. This went on for months. He then told me he needed money in addition, I agreed. I offered to have someone finish the knife if that would help, he preferred to keep me waiting. That's when I knew the knife wasn't made, even though Cori assured me that it was. I posted asking about the Equinox, who ordered one and who recieved one. Figuring if they were getting their knives I should be getting my knife, because they ordered one from my illustration, which came first.

I told AB a while back, this isn't about a knife, it's about being lied to. He had the nerve to ask if I think he lied to me? Well Duh?
Needless to say things went south after that. I wouldn't believe him now if his tongue came notarized. You can believe who you want. I started feeling guilty that I had played some part of cheating people out of money and that's what brought this all to a head.

There's a reason AB has been banned from these boards, and it had nothing to do with me. He's reaping what he's sowed, and shows no sign of changing. Sad, I still think he's a talented maker and I'm sure he'll bounce back with another new name on another coast.
In my book his name is Mudd

I was wondering why you were doing all the posts asking if anyone had gotten their Equinox. I guess I know now. To bad this kind of stuff happens. :(

I hope you guys escape your dealings w/ AB in at least an "80 cent on a dollar" fashion.

I will say that, despite how irritating it is to read about AB and Cori and their words & actions, I do appreciate the posts that those of you have made over past month or so... you have helped me steer clear of the Allen and Cori and that has saved me bile and adrenaline. Much appreciated.

I too watch for action and not words as I age.

from cori blade on their forum:

in my humble opinion:
this has to be the most rediculous statement i have ever heard! moving clear across country to the opposite coast is cheaper than simply ordering supplies from knife supply companies?? moving your whole family across country is cheaper than ups or usps?? this is really laughable. what makers you know of "drive to get supplies"?? this is truly amazing to me that you and allen think people are actually this stupid! seems to me even a child could come up with a more believable excuse than this.

i was in chat the night allen showed up and was asked by several there who had ordered knives and allen acted like they were the *******s for asking him about the knives he had told them were about finished or "in the mail"! they asked nicely, just curious as to when they would get their knives when allen whined about not ever taking orders again and left. what a class act!

again from cori:
Phil,
It was stated that I am now doing the business part of this so why would Allen respond to any emails when you and everyone else was told to email the business and not his personal email address, so that makes you not bright since you can't follow directions. Allen did answer your latest attack against him and last I recall, your opinion wasn't asked for or required. You have more than once used this forum and others as a means to bash people and I'm telling you now, if you do it with me, I will take legal action and you will see I am not as patient when it comes to trouble makers. Grow up and conduct yourself like an adult!!!!!!!

this is how you treat people buying knives from your husband and doing artwork for him only as customers and friends trying to help him in his business?? hot damn! the knife business sure needs more people like you! NOT!! i truly hope someone takes legal action against you 2 for mail fraud as seen in this next example. seems like its always the crooks that whine the loudest about legal action and sueing people. agin just my opinion.

from chad, another lied to customer...
[quote[Cori,
I have not received a reply to the last email I sent you, so I feel justified in taking this into a public forum. In Jan. of this year I asked Allen if he would replace a handle on a knife with a micarta one (a Busse #9). Allen agreed to do so at a reasonable price and wrote that it would only take him "a couple of days" to complete the project. I sent him the knife via USPS w/ delivery confirmation along with a USPS money order and the knife was delivered to him two days later. (I still have the MO reciept and Confirmation slips in my records) I have still not received my knife back after nine months. I have written to Cori and Allen via email several times (over 30), in the emails that were answered I was promised a delivery date several times, and I have still not received my knife back. IF you care to dispute any of this I have ALL of the emails, money order reciepts and delivery confirmation slips. You have my address, phone number and email. If I do not receive some form of communication from you I will file a criminal complaint with the United States Postal Inspectors for mail fraud (delivery was
through the USPS as was the Money Order) as well as the Michigan State and U.S. Attornery General's
Office for internet fraud and violations of consumer protection laws. I want my knife back. If you have not completed the work on, ship it back along with a full refund.

cori's response...
Chad,
I sincerely thank you for the posting and for showing that tostesterone is still in full force with you, nice display of machoism. I see how the game is played now Chad, as long as I did what YOU felt I should be doing and when I should do it according to YOU, you said what an asset I was but now because I didn't answer an email when YOU feel I should have, you post the above, well for your information, the knife was just sent back to you with the money order inside and to protect me and my name, you have to sign for it or you don't get it so I have proof you got it. I will truly enjoy reading your LAST post on this forum until I delete it due to boredom of looking at it, keep an eye on the mail.
~ Cori ~

again in my opinion...
gee what a caring response to a customer that sent you money in advance even. seems like the only game is you and allen screwing customers that are only trying to help your business. as soon as anyone makes a legitimate complaint you insult them and just further show what lying thieves you are! gee no wonder you have financial problems.

to allen and cori...
with people like you in this business and see this kind of crap i am ashamed to be in this business myself. it seems now matter where one goes there always has to be the few rotten apples that try their best to spoil the crop. i have spent over 23 years trying to be honest with my customers and treat them as i want to be treated. after all without them where would we be?? over the years i have seen makers gouge the richer collectors and virtually drive them away from buying anymore knives and it truly burns my ass! and i am sure cori and allen will be the first to start the insulting and whining, but never first to admit they did any wrong. how sad.

to all reading this...this has been brought up and confirmed by many people that have dealt with allen blade and now his partner cori. Rob Simonich wrote about it before. if anyone still does business with these people after reading all this, then they deserve the screwing they get. i can hardly wait to see what insults she has for me now but i really would like answers to my questions about her first statement about moveing from necessity. she will probly want to sue me too but i believe as an american i still am entitled to my opinion.

i am sure many will think me as uppity again wanting to be the knife police, but to the buyers we have lost because of people like this and the sales lost to other makers from the people that have been screwed and drove away from knife buying, maybe we do need some knife police!

I posted this on Allens board as well....this is a paste of my post.Well, im not sure where anybody gets off saying Phil is a leach and will expect something for his pics. I will say that I love photograhing knives. I do the photos, and I also do tons of software manipulation with the photo. Guess who gave me the most help, and guess who to this day continues to help me....Phil. You know what I have paid him or what he has asked for?...Nothing, zero, zip, zilch, nada. I know he has given advice to many many people and NEVER asked for anything in return. Allen, however you two came to an agreement on a knife is a small point. The fact is you told him his knife was done....minus a few cosmetic touch ups. Now his stag is being returned...is it in original condition? Was the knife ever actually near completion?

This is far from the first time somebody appears to have been mislead. Robert (see above post) takes great delight in slamming Phil. Well Robert, do you remember an old Bladeforums member who went by "TooApoint" ? He was a person claiming to have met Allen for the first time at some show or another and really admired his work. He posted many good things about Allen and what a stand up guy he was. He was so impressed with his new friend Allen, that he was going to start the MEUK knife company to sell Allens knives. Now, ya wanna guess who "TooApoint" turned out to be? Well, it sure wasnt some stranger who "just discovered Allen". This would also be one of the incidents that I beleive spark was referring to when Allen was recently banned and spark said that Allen had been warned before.

Take this how you will. I find Phil to sometimes be a little abrupt and up front. Hell, very early on I used to be a little insulted when he made negative comments about my photos. I finally realized that he was indeed a huge help to me with his honesty. One thing Phil is NOT is a liar. He is honest and I have respect for the guy.

I offered to moderate the photo section of this forum in hopes that things would turn around for Allen and hopefully to add something to this board. Please remove me as moderator and remove my membership.

----Back to BF now. Spark, the last line where I said to remove my membership was posted on Allens board for him. I just pasted this here...DONT remove me from BF please :D

Let me preface this by saying I have no dog in this fight. I have been friendly with both Allen B. and Tim H. in bladechat.

I have never owned nor ordered a knife from Allen.

I think, at one point when Allen was beginning to say in Bladechat, "We're moving to Maryland," and I do believe if Tim thinks back, he might remember this...

I asked him, "WTF do you want to move to Maryland, of all places for?"

The modern equivalent of a row home will cost you $125,000.00 or more here! Or, you can move to a place like Columbia, Maryland and you can have a stand alone home with a nice yard, and the construction in the home is the SAME as the other one, the house just stands alone instead of being boxed in...but you are going to pay over $200,000.00 and your home is no "better" than the row home you could have purchased for half (or alot more) as much.

That is not to piss on anyone else that lives here, I just want more bang for my buck and this place is really damned expensive to live in.
I'm not into, "paying for the privilege" of living in a State that wants to control almost every aspect of your life. If it works for some people, great. I think it sucks, personally.

But, this has a bearing on the discussion. Why on EARTH would you move to a place where the cost of living is so damned high when you are trying to make it? It just makes no sense.

I'm being serious and not just ragging on this State or on Allen, there is simply no reason to do this, yet, it was done. And I'm sure that cost a pretty penny. Then, to move BACK, and parts of the West Coast are just as bad, if not worse than Maryland, and all of the added expense of moving, again, it just seems to me that some bad decisions are being formulated here.

And all of this is said out of respect for other people's decisions, you can live where the hell you want to and do what you wish. But it begins to be a game of simply flushing money down the toilet after a while.

Honestly, like I said before, I have no dog in this fight. Do not own an AB Knife and never have, do not have an order. Just some observations on what apparently was a very costly decision turning into a more costly decision.

Robert, I'm not going to call you a Clueless Idiot, because I was saying just about the same thing last year, I know different now. If Mr. Mudd hasn't screwed you over yet it's only because you never gave him the chance. I hope you don't believe me and do give him the chance. You deserve it.

Tim, I can sum up your post in six words, "He lies, she swears to it."
They deserve each other.

PhilL,

Just to clarify, I mean, all this crap is being dumped in here. He is claiming that you were going to get a free knife with the stag you supplied on it.

Is this true?

Did you place a deposit on the knife, were you purchasing it, or just supplying the stag or what? You said that he required some funds and you sent those funds, was that for the knife itself or for shipping or what?

The devil is in the details, if you paid for it or placed a deposit on it, that's fine, say it loud and clear. But this is a bit confusing for anyone seeking any clarity in the matter.

And it does matter, because if you were getting a free knife with your stag on it and then Allen says you're bent out of shape about something...that reflects not only on him, but you too.

Don't get pissed, just lay it out. If I missed it, tell me where it is.
