daily self lesson: "avoid the general discussion threads"

I lol'ed. General can drive a person batty. ST is getting almost as bad. Remember when they said "there's no such thing as a dumb question"? They were wrong. And the dumb answers from people who've never even attempted whatever the topic is about are even worse.

I like snow in the pictures. Thats about it.

I really need to take a class on computers or something. I got a question for you computer savvy guys...My laptop is still down due to a bad CPU, thats an 800 dollar paper weight. And I have this box of laptop items I have no idea whats for what for the most part LMAO Is this stuff even worth anything? The laptop as parts? I dont have the evil auction site account, is there anywhere else I might could unload it???

And here is my laptop in all her non-glory LMAO keys missing from my son, who thought he was helping daddy by taking them off

It's a real command, with a .45. Simple point-and-click interface.

That's a mac, that's about all they're good for.

Ah hell with it, ill toss that stuff out for trade on the exchange too LMAO never know, maybe some computer expert could make it work or use the parts.

WW, you might look into a used computer dealer.. we have a place here call Mr. Laptop.. they might be willing to trade for work, I have done it in the past.. Looks like you have a DVD burner, floppy drive, 4 hard drives (can't make out sizes from pic), and a bunch of RAM.. If you have had that stuff for a while it isn't worth much though.. Computer equipment devalues exponentially...

Also, how do you like the Native5? have you ever used the FRN Native? I would love to check one out before buying. I love my FRN Native, it is a great edc, very light weight and S30V blade.. would love to "upgrade" to the Native5, but just not sure if it will have the same appeal being a heavier knife with slightly different shape.

It snowed here too...... in 1987... I don't think there is much chance of it happening again, unless we get that global cooling they used to talk about in the 70's...

Got an assessment day coming up for a large financial institution next week. Psyched and stressed at the same time lol.

science is cancelled for the morning, we're responding to a distress call.

Thanks man for the info!! RAM, got it, i couldnt remember what those little chips were LMAO

And i love this Native5, the weight of it is one of the things i love honestly. It just feels like quality. And i love the way it swings freely when you press the button in. the bushing pivot system is AWESOME. I havent tested s30v vs s35vn, i have used both of those steels with great results but not compared them against each other - yet. but im sure it wouldnt be that much difference if any notable difference in regular use at all.

I guess id say if you really like the blade shape of the FRN, id say there was no reason to upgrade really, but looking at pictures of the FRN i personally like the native5's shape better.

Funny thing, i grew up in florida and the first time i ever seen snow in my life i was 20 years old, in the army, In TEXAS LMAO. I seen snow in texas, the first time i seen snow EVER. it was el paso. Ft Bliss.

Granted, it barely was enough to stick on the ground, and it melted before we went in from PT, but it was snow.

I liked it then.... After 44 days straight in the jungle of Korea in non stop snow, sleeping in a crappy walled army tent shoveling the snow out the way to get to the missile radars... I never liked snow again!!

The only reason I was looking to upgrade was because of the pivot, it is pinned on the FRN model and over the years it has developed some loose and tight spots and it has a little bit of play when locked open. It isn't a deal breaker, you just know how it is when you start thinking you need something new ;)
