A couple of quick questions before the action starts ... tomorrow ;-)

1) Can we order the knife plain -- is it Double Cut?
2) How does cerakote compare to the standard Busse coating in terms of durability and rust protection?

1) no idea... my guess would be BIG DC, so the cerakote would have some texture to grab onto. That's also what's pictured in the initial post by Garth.
2) my Spartan Worn FMV14 - my only cerakoted blade - feels smooooooth. it's a very nice finish. Busse's normal offerings tend to have a good bit of (fine) texture to it, like a micro-wrinkle coat. While they're nice finishes, they're a completely different animal to cerakote. But I would have no reservations about its rust proofing abilities. And cerakote is known for being very very durable.

I got my email out late. I have my fingers crossed for a Bronze Woodland Camo with Tan handle.

It's a great looking knife, but I likely will not try to send a late email. I'd rather it have a thickness of .150 to .1875 and the War Dog Res-C handle. I already have several copies of the Basic 8 LE.
 
Locked in a Patriot Red with black handle. I gotta say I liked a few of the other options more on the examples shown, but I was trying to think of what would look good on this particular knife. Can't wait to see how they turn out!
 
I like my Alpha Dog 6 Satin so much that I added a couple of cerakotes:
- Antique Bronze with Black Res C
- Bronze Woodland with Tan Res C
