Ok figured this might be a good place to pose this. I carry a sw 649 anyway I've been wanting a Sebenza forever but never had the funds, it so happens that I get to a third paycheck in 2 weeks and all of a sudden that Sebenza doesn't seem so far out of reach.......but been kinda oggling a baby glock for my ccw rotation. So my question is which one should I get? I may be able to afford the other in 6 months to a year but for some reason that Sebenza is calling to me. I've never even held one but I'm very curious about the mystique. I Edc a gayle Bradley and a cts Xhp Millie right now.

Also, honestly how well do these knives hold up, I don't abuse my knives but I use em hard and they are exposed to the elements ( I'm a firefighter near the Gulf of Mexico) but I won't buy one if I can't be comfortable carrying it.

Thanks in advance y'all.

That's a hard choice but you win either way ;D

They're very durable and make a perfect edc knife as long as you don't treat it like a pry bar. As far as its ability to hold up near the Gulf and that salt air I can't say, I'm sure another member will let you know how theirs has done. I'm sure the Ti is fine but I just don't know about the S35's true corrosion resistance.
I carry a G27 as well as a CRK as my daily tools but would have a hard time picking just one.
If you buy the Sebenza and don't feel the love you can always sell it for a minimal loss and go and get the Glock so unless your concerned that the Glock will be unavailable later or even banned I suggest that you start with the Sebenza, it is calling out to you anyway, isn't it, oh there it is, the sweet Sebenza siren song- I hear it too.

Two Sebs? I thought they were like 400 plus? I should of mentioned I get glocks for Leo pricing 398 bucks before tax.

Haha yes it is for about 6 months now

I vote 1911. I know that wasn't one of the choices but 1911's are awesome enough to work their way into any firearms poll they may have been excluded from.

But on a serious note, you may want to get the glock now. Who knows how prices will end up weeks, months, or years from now. Do some more research into sebenzas and wait until you see that one you just cant live without.

If you already have a decent CCW, do the Sebenza. Glocks are a dime a dozen, and will always be there! You really should have a Great Pocket knife at some point in your life!

Banning Glocks? Not a snowballs chance of an AWB at the national level. The state of Texas sure won't do it.

The chance of any Glock becoming banned are truly slim to none.

A Sebenza has always been a grail for me and once I made my purchase I couldn't be happier.

You will pretty much always be able to go pick up a new Glock.

But owning a Sebenza is something you NEED to have in your life!!

^ This. I've only owned my Large Starbenza for a couple weeks, but it's NEVER been outta' my reach yet. FWIW, the only pistol I've ever had elicit this type of "bond" with me has been Les Baer 1911's (plus one Springfield Armory Custom Shop that was made while Les ran SACS).

^^^This^^^ Man, this is too easy. You've already got a really nice sidearm, now it's time for a really nice knife. The 649 will be at your service forever and so will the CRK. The only thing that can complicate this plan, is if you decide to incorporate kaosu04's choice of a 1911.:)

Alright guys, Sebenza or new pistol?

I'm going to vote Sebenza, for sure. I'm also going to admit my bias, I don't like guns. But you do already have one, and you don't have a Seb.

BTW, I have a used Seb if you're interested.

I vote the Sebenza as well. I like guns but Glocks aren't my cup of tea. A Glock is a Glock is a Glock.

As others have stated: if you already have a sidearm (thats proven reliable for you and you aren't sick of it) then I would get the Sebenza. Besides, with a new gun comes cost of ammo, more mags (which are hard to find), ammo (also hard to find), a quality holster and range time. With a sebenza you're GTG...until it comes time to buy an extra 1.

If you have a nice EDC handgun you are currently are comfortable with, go with the Sebenza. Being a firefighter you may consider a thicker bladed one such as the Tanto bladed version from truenorthknives or the newer Seb 25. Another consideration might be the Umnumzaan. All will perform just fine in your enviornment.

I would get the Glock, just in case, or more ammo for your Smith. Also, I would never EDC a Sebenza around any Salt water, get one of the spyderco Salt folders for that.
