Now back to your regularly scheduled thread!

Buy the Sebenza!
Haha now I want a darn Wilson combat instead of the glock!

Sorry. :o But I do support your right to own and carry them if you choose. Just like it's my right not to.
Our ability to peacefully coexist is predicated upon acceptance of our differences; with that in mind, I respect your position Ms. Wolfe.

Possibly depending on what u want. Most dealers are stocking standard versions of the 21. Prices will be the same either way. Best to call em.

When you get it it don't judge it until 1 week has gone by. When I got mine it was smooth but not the legendary smoothness I had read about. Just like a finely fitted 1911 it got better after a few days break in. Now it is opening like no other knife I've ever owned.

Great Thread!

I vote for the Sebenza. You already have an excellent handgun and a CRK will be one more addition to you being "well equipped." If you don't already have them, you also need: a good shotgun, a accurate 22 rifle, a pair of high quality outdoor boots, a comfortable recliner, and a faithful dog. Then you are pretty well set for whatever life throws at you.

Guys I'm locked into a sebenza now and need some advice, I'm thinking about a small dog paw sebenza just bc I already have a huge Edc I liked a spyderco sage 1 a lot will the size be similar?

IMHO, the sebenza is a very tough folder. The blade steel is highly resistant to corrosion. Not quite marine steel, but should be fine in salt air. I took mine on a two week sea kayaking trip and the blade was fine. I wouldn't worry about salt air. In fact, I saw a video in which Chris explained corrosion resistance (to coastal air) was a major factor in his steel selection. Of course, the titanium handles will not oxidize, even in sea water.

WRT which to choose, that's tough. IMHO, a sebenza is the perfect work knife EDC. The blade steel is extremely tough, and construction is rock solid. When opened, there is zero play in any direction, the lock is very solid; it feels like a fixed blade. It's simply perfection. That said, I have a Glock 19 and it's a very nice concealed carrier.

I don't think you'd be unhappy with either. If it were me, I'd simply choose based on which I needed more - a reliable edc blade or a reliable small pistol.

Get a little creative, think for yourself and gravitate away from the ubiquitous Glock. There are some good suggestions here.

I haven't had a Small Sebenza yet, but do own a Large Starbenza and a CF Sage I. I can tell you the Sage will be more hand filling that the Small. I do think the Dog Paw one you are talking about would be sweet. Me, I'd opt for a silver thumb lug Small Insingo as an EDC.

Thanks guys I think I have it narrowed down to a plain large insingo or a dogs paw small any advice? Like I said the sage is about the smallest I've handled that I I liked Im 6"3 240 not gigantic hands but definitely not small

The Unique's show more prints and scratches because you're looking at a brighter finish, it can be refurbed but it takes a little metal off of the scale which takes a small amount of depth from the image, nothing noticeable as long as the scratches aren't deep. The standard bead blasted handle shows all kinds of marks in time and in my opinion really starts to look better the more it gets messed up. It's easily refurbed with just a media blasting to a like new appearance, a few of the guys around here do it themselves.

The regular blade is nice but the Insingo is amazing! I have both the large and small. I'm 6'3 and 200 pounds, wear an XL glove but my hands aren't meaty, just a regular guy. I carried the small for two years and was never left needing more knife but in time I grew to prefer a larger blade so I now carry the large models of CRK's, it's by no means to much knife. The thinness of the design lends to an easily carried knife that is always there when you need it but never a burden when you don't- unless due to it's light weight you forget that you're wearing it when you enter a Federal building, then it's definitely a burden :(

Here's a pic of one of mine next to a Sage.
It is smaller, but you have more cutting edge on the small Sebenza, and it fits my hand better than the Sage if the Sage is not held in the choil position. If the Sage is held in the choil position it fits better, but I much prefer the small Sebenza.

I don't really have any advice on your second question. I dought you have a place to handle both, but if you did I would do that.
I like the Insingo blade OK on the small, but not crazy about it on the large.
