Alright.... im tired of this wetterlings.

Yeah, man. Like G-pig, I've also used more than one wedge across a kerf. As long as they pack in tight, should be good.

If you have hung your axe correctly, and it is a tight fit, why in the world would you want to put a mettle wedge cross grain? It's only splitting your helve. I personally will never again use metal wedges.

IT WORKS!!!!

Tried it out on a big ole maple log first, head was tight the whole time. then i tried it on some sycamore. it was a smaller branch. the wetterlings went through that fairly well. finally got to use this thing! now i can go finish taking down that tree i was forced to leave up!!!! I feel incredibly accomplished... Thank you guys so much for your advice and encouragement! i owe it to ya!

I shall! We have had some pretty intense storms these past few months though, so i guess ill find out if its still up. Im a little scared to go up that hill again after i ran into what looked like a homeless man's shelter.... and i saw a few VERY fresh boot prints, and the boot size was much much bigger than mine, im a 12.. so maybe i can call up a buddy to go with me...

Awesome. Glad you got er workin. I wish I was chopping wood right now with my wetterlings...

It sure is a good work out ill tell ya! I love the Alabama weather. these past few days its been right around 89. it rained last night so its 75 now. humidity is always unbelievably high. youll break a sweat just steppin outside!
