Alright, let’s see those users

This one has the most "obvious" usage marks. I use it for storm damage cleanup these days, though I used to use it for splitting firewood.

Love my Camp 10. It’s not as worn in as yours, since I’ve only had it since July, but man is it a great camp knife. Splits wood and brings down small branches so nicely. Excellent value for its price point. Just used it a few days ago to help clear a trail that is growing in now that spring is here.

I know Gerber gets a lot of hate, especially the BG stuff, but these two have been abused to no end over the years, and just keep on taking it.

The BG Ultimate was my old camp knife years ago, before i really knew about better knives., and I think the wear speaks for itself on its usefulness over the years. Still lives in the camp bag, still gets abused.

The little crucial, well it’s just a whipping boy. If I’m doing any kind of yard work, home reno, under the car, or whatever, it’s in my pocket. It’s been used to pry, scrape, twist, and anything else you shouldn’t use a blade for. Doesn’t hold the greatest edge anymore (never really did) but I can also sharpen it on the nearest rock, or cinder block, or even the concrete garage floor :D

Those were the Kershaw Outcast, they were replaced by the 10"s.
I just had to go pull it out and check. Mine is a 1077 Camp 10. I've had it for like 13 years or so, maybe longer? I really think that they were originally made in D2, does anyone else remember that? I remember when I got back into knives a few years ago I checked the Camp 10 online and noticed that it was a different steel now days and it surprised me. But... Who knows... I could be remembering wrong.

The most recent ones are made of 65Mn steel, which is considered a "spring steel" if I remember correctly.

I use this one for occasional yard work, too, though rarely because it loses its edge instantly upon use.

I've carried the Boker Kalashnikov a good bit, too, and have found it to be tons more reliable than the Microtec Cypher, handy, and fun to play around with.

My most often carried knives, though, are these. Aside from a few scratches (on both, but more so on the SR1 Lite, the result of some plumbing work), and a bit of staining on the Voyager, and worn paint on the Voyager's pocket clip, they still look relatively pristine. The Voyager has been used for everything one might use a knife for, from food prep, fish filleting, pumpkin carving, turkey carving, yard work, cardboard slicing, string cutter, rope cutter, package opener, hiking knife...
How do you like the Kershaw camp knife? I bought mine as an impulse buy some time back lol.

I can’t speak for Weiss, but so far, mine has performed quite well, especially for the $60 or so I paid for it. Has some nice weight to it, so it’ll make short work of chopping through smaller branches, or clearing overgrown brush. If your clearing a lot of brush, a machete is lighter and less fatiguing, but you’re also not gonna be able to split wood with one nearly as well.

I’ve only had it since about July, so’s it got maybe 3 months of use before camping season was over for us, but it’s split and battoned a decent amount of wood, chopped through a few 5-6” logs, and helped clear a few trails so far this spring.

I’m quite happy with mine.

Edited for my atrocious typing LOL
