Alright, What did you get?

havent gotten an email, and i dont expect that i'll get them - but MAN did i (and sill do) want that g10 sjletac....

mate, you're a piglet who really means business :D

damn I managed only to cut off my finger! so how did it go? ah yes, "unfair!! contest sold! it's all politics! welfare to the handicapped!" :D

In regards to time stamps. . .They don't really mean much. . . well, they don't mean anything actually. . . .We go by the order in which they are received. . . . not sent.

Wanna hear a funny one?. . . Well, maybe not so funny for "Ol' Skunker"! About a year or two ago in another speciall offer, far, far away, Ol' Skunker was one of the first to send in his email (based on time sent) but it didn't arrive until 9:30am the next morning!!!! . . .Poor ol' Skunker got Skunked!!!! :grumpy: :( . . . Bad deal!!!! In fact, a HOG who emailed us nearly 20 minutes later, beat Skunk to the trough. . . by making the reserve list:thumbup: . . . . .Oh, well . . . .Just remember the War Cry of the HOGs. . .

NO REGRETS!!!!!! :D :D :D

The timestamps don't really mean much as that is the time that your computer clock is set at anyway. If you are off on your computer clock by a minute or 2 it looks good (or bad), but doesn't really reveal when you actually sent the email, or when it is received at Busse Combat.

Depending the the servers, filters etc that your email has to go through it may arrive sooner (or later) than others sent at exactly the same time.

On a sadder note, I was pretty quick on my email, but I haven't received any notifications yet....hopefully Garths email is somewhere in cyberspace working it's way to me ;)

:D:D

Nuffing. :( At least not that I know of. I'm still hopeful though, Garth was mailing them out awfully late last night, and he probably didn't finish up yet.

Nothing here, and I got it off at 9:16 on a pretty fast server.

Computer clock is updated automatically, so it should be correct.

Oh well, wasn't meant to be...

Congrats to the lucky Hogs!

Congrats to the folks with the fastest electrons. Where is the drooling smiley ? Even for the spectators, it is entertaining to see more Busse variants (since otherwise our voyeurism is limited to the 2 up on the Busse site and the occasional offering on the exchange. And the feeding frenzy is more fun that superbowl commercials anyway. ;)

Good luck! If I had been in on this sale, that is one I would have given a child ;) for. Hope you get some good news.

Well, I got up full of hope and still no email. Oh well. Good points on the time stamps JB and EI, that is why I never paid much attention to them. Filters have been known to deal a death blow to a hogs chances at the trough.

Eric is spot on with this. Temporarily turn off any outgoing email scan you have during a sale. Before I figured this out I used to watch in horror after I hit the "send" button while Norton scanned my message prior to actually getting it out.

I know Jerry's aware that his filters usually work overtime, and I would hope that for an extravaganza he'd take steps to remedy this. I would hope.

Looks like I'm on the list for a SJT with special G-10. Woohoo!!! and a couple of rats for the rosebushes...
I wonder how much value that Tac will lose after it's been abused for a couple years?
sooeeeeet!

One of the things that I think is unique to Busse and Swamp Rat is that they seem to hold or even gain in value(from purchase price) even if they have been used. I have no problems paying a premium for a discontinued or unique piece in used condition (as long as it has not had some significant modification done to it )

Congrats on a great piece

:D:D

I agree with Eric. I am still trying to convince one of my brother's Sgt that he needs to sell his slightly soiled Steel Heart to me, which I would gladly pay the original price for.

I can only assume that Garth hasn't sent my notice, yet.

I'm in my happy place. I'm in my happy place. I'm in my happy place...

I have a WIFI connection in my house, but during the Extravaganzaaa, I plugged directly into my DSL modem and unplugged my router to avoid sharing bandwidth (my wife was unimpressed). I also turned off my email's auto check so that I wouldn't get bogged down with a large download when I was trying to send out. I don't know if any of this made any difference yet, but I'm still hopefull. I figured Garth is just saving the big ones to the end. :o

Yep... I'm still crossing my fingers. I sent within the first three minutes but that may have not been fast enough. We'll see... :D (Calming thoughts... hopeful thoughts...)
