Hello, I’d like to have a few aluminum grinding blocks made. I’ve started teaching bladesmithing classes for wounded warrior project and have found the best way for the veterans to grind the bevels into their knives is with a jig of some sort. So I’d like to get a couple blocks of aluminum about 1.25” thick x 2” tall x 6” long with angles milled into one face, ideally I’d like 3 made, one with a 10 degree face a 5 degree face and a 3 degree face. In case I didn’t describe it well enough here’s a video Walter sorrels did on this exact jig. I would make them myself but I don’t have a way to accurately put the angles into the face and I’ve tried calling a few machine shops and the only place I could get ahold of near me wanted to charge $200 a piece.
