Ever since I joined Bladeforums I have been collecting Benchmades. The fact of the matter is that I really like Benchmade's style of knives.

Is there anyone else that collects Benchmades as well, or am I truly alone

If there is anyone else, do you have a website, or any pictures.

God.........if I dont get any responses, I am really going to be depressed

All the knives in the world go round and round, round and round, round and round...DAMN, one of them took my wallet !!! :)

I don't know what I'm impressed with more, your knife collection or website. Seriously that is a nice collection. I've got a couple of mini reflex's, one with a green handle that I'm very fond of, and a 720bt that I can't say enough good things about.
I didn't know bm made a big fixed blade.
Are you planning on getting the new auto mini stryker? You've probally already got one I just didn't see the pic.
Have a nice weekend

I would collect Benchmade, but for the cost, I end up useing and thus ruining collector value.

I have to use the knife. I can't see letting it just sit there.

I've gotten better as I've found I like Spyderco for functional knives!:0
But yes, BM is my choice for collecting as well as use.

Oh, and a HK Benchmade! I am so jealous

You're not alone. A substantial fraction of my collection is Bali-Song Cutlery, Pacific Cutlery, and Benchmade.

I also collect Benchmades. You can see my famous pics at my website below. My favorites are my 875SBT Sentinel, 730SBT Elishewitz Axis Lock, 970ST titanium CQC7, and 140HSSR Nimravus. I also just got a HK CQC7 Benchmade and am desperately looking for the Emerson version. Keep in mind Dark Nemesis that I also have other brands of knives as well, so don't get depressed when you see my Elishewitz Diablo, Microtechs, Chris Reeves knives, and yes, my Emersons.

Dark Nemesis, I just was checking out your website and saw your awesome collection. You have a lot of "old-school" Benchmades, ones I've never heard of. Your collection makes me envious. Anyways, I was just curious and checked your resume. Again very impressive. And you also live in Maryland where I'm at. Well, don't get too down about being a Benchmade fan. There are plenty others out there.

Very impressive collection! I do enjoy Benchmade knives, however I only have six of them. Most of my collection are Spyderco's.

I have several Benchmades, but I am a general collector of many brands not just one. I do like them though, most of mine are the older ones like the original sentinel, titanium cqc7, large black-ti cqc7, etc.

The most successful collections are those made up of products the collector really likes. I think that's the main source of satisfaction in any kind of collecting. No need to worry about it. If you're collecting what you like, then your's doing the right thing. Take care.

I also collect Benchmades but I am trying to get all the left hand versions first. Not many knife companies offer the varity that Benchmade does which makes for an interesting collection. Dark Nemesis nice collection and web sight you have Benchmades that I have never seen thanks for the allowing us to see it. Larry

I collect Benchmades too.
I have three AFO's and a fourth on the way.
I also have two Spikes, two 3500's and two Leopard Cubs.
One of the AFO's is among the first runs of the 9000-SBT series and is exceptional quality. Another is the current run AFO/SBT (9050).
The third is a rare clear anodized AFO-9000 with a plain bead blasted blade.I bought it to carry and use as the silver colored handle over silver colored aluminum does not show scratches.
Although I bought it with intentions to use, I just could not bring myself to doing it as the bead blast blade will show immediate telltale signs of cutting-even wood.
So, I bought another identical knife. One of them will go to the safe and one will be used....finally.
Both Leopard Cubs also have clear anodized handles.

Well, this was a very nice way to wake up this morning

I'm glad there are others that collect them as well.

Nifrand, yep yep, I think you did contribute some, including my very first, the 975SBT

Dark Nemesis, I live in Frederick, MD not too far from Baltimore. Yes that is purple velvet. It's my girlfriend's shirt. I was looking for different backgrounds and thought that would be interesting. Just look at all the stuff you have. There's always something that's bound to be a good background for guns/knives. Be creative!

I used to collect many Benchmades. I have a lot of the ones that came out in the early 1990's: Crawford Leopard, Brend Talon, Spike folder, Spike auto, a bowie blade folder, Emerson CQC-7 folder, Reflex, mini Reflex, Pardue auto...think that's it. Sorry, don't have any of the model #'s assigned to the knives. I've forgotten them over the years. BM's and Spyderco's were my first "real quality" knives I started collecting besides the Parker knives and the first real collectable UCC knives I bought from SMKW's back in the 80's. I have since found a new love, MT's.
