Am I alone in collecting Benchmades ? :)

I started collecting BM's with a 705, still one of my favorite knives. After an extended drift into Spydies, I'm back. Have a 730 on order and want a 750 and the new 855, if that is the one that will have colored scales. And then a 720,and a 710... and then....and then...

Been collecting BM's since the mid-eighties. I've got one of every model NIB since the Bushmaster came out. I missed out on some of the older Bali's, but I've got several 44's, 45's, and 30's NIB. Currently, I've been focusing on the low-numbered pre-pros. I posted about it a couple days ago, and I've received advice from numerous people saying that they're not worth collecting since there's so many in circulation. I don't get that. If I've got 198 of 1000, that means there's only 999 more pre-pros out there. As well, I've never LOST on selling a BM. Regardless, I'm learning to focus on it as just a hobby and hopefully my greatgrandkids will be able to sell them for a sum that will finance their rocket scooters or whatever the hell they'll be into. Viva les BM collectors (or something round about)! Professor.
 
Great Website Dark Nemesis! Looks great! I am a beginning Benchmade collector, but I have a pretty good collection. I have a 875SBT (Elishewitz Sentinel), 140SBT (1 of 1000 Nimravus), 9100SBT (auto-Stryker), 910SBT (Stryker), 975S (Emerson design CQC-7), 68-S (Small Balisong), 970HK (HK CQC-7), and my favorite, a 800SPECIAL ( "Tanto" AFCK with BT-2 coating, 1 of 135 prototype.)

One of my Benchmade autos is a auto spike without a clip on it. Can you tell me if the spikes without clips were made first?

I was under the impression that all the auto spikes had clips....are the holes tapped ? If so chances are it was suppose to come with a clip and it is just missing. If there are no holes, then I'm probably wrong and some were made without clips. Let me know, just for kicks.
