Am I missing any 0550s?

I'm trying to round off my collection of ZT 0550s and I wanted to ask the more experienced collectors if I'm missing any. Im aware of Gen 1, 2, and 3; the 0550BLK and the 0550BW. Are there any others?

There were 7 different production models and listed alphanumerically below and in the pictures:

  1. 0550 (Elmax)
  2. 0550 (Gen 1)
  3. 0550 (Gen 2)
  4. 0550 (Gen 3)
  5. 0550BLK
  6. 0550BW
  7. 0551

The 0551 was in Elmax and the 0550 in S35VN except for those very few "mistakes" that were in Elmax.

RamZar.. I've been lusting over your collection since I first started lurking on these forums..

Well, Mike, I guess you're not quite home free YET, but it was nice of Jim to give you "access" to that prototype.

Along the way, I had one of the elmax 550's, but since I'm not a collector, it didn't stay around...

Mr. Anderson,

Wow.. I would love to know a guy who knew a guy who had some elmax 0550s stashed away.. If I did know a guy like that, I might casually float the idea of buying one of those aforementioned elmax 0550s to complete my collection.

Not that I know a guy or anything..

That was very nice of him. I'm sitting here in shock.. At the beginning of this day my ambition was to complete the standard set of 0550s.. Now I'm looking at possibly having a shot at every 0550 ever made. I can't believe it. Now all I'd have to find is a Hinderer Camp Knife and I'd have it all. What a great day this turned out to be!

RamZar,

That's a great scale for that knife. It really compliments the blackwash. It looks modern, but still classy.. I was planning on finding some scales for my user 0550s in the near future.

Man.. What a great thread this was for me.. These forums are unbelievable. Where else could a random enthusiast like me be able to talk to guys who have been in the knife industry for decades.. Totally amazing..
