Am I the only one?

All the LEOs I have talked to seem to be confused or ignorant about the law. A few times I have been asked (by a LEO) if I had anything on my person they should know about and my answer is always the same I give them the list of contents of my pockets-pocket knife, lighter,SAK,pen, keys, change, wallet. I do not think my knife should be a concern but maybe they might even think of my SAK and lighter as a concern so they get the list. I have never had a problem they always hand me back my knife after they ask me questions and let me on my way ,I almost never carry a knife under 3"(the understood but incorrect limit) and I have never had a problem. Mostly I believe because of how I conduct myself I answer questions and I am respectful ;as long as I am not commiting a crime and I am not being a problem I do not think I should ever have a problem .I feel so sorry for people in NY and the like.

In Canada, the difference between a legal and illegal knife is whether or not it is concealed, so I'm often obligated to keep the clip showing.

Please stop spreading misinformation. This is completely false.

This is also what the employees at a local knife store tell everybody. :grumpy:

I don't try to hide that I carry a pocket knife, nor do I flaunt it. I believe that people are judged through their character and actions, rather than what they own and carry.

I wish this was true. My own experinces is that pepole would rather jump to a judgement than take the time to get to know you.

I do it sometimes, even though my EDC knives aren't illegal. I just don't want to get hassled

I apologize. Correct me, by all means.
