Am I weird for not liking to use clips?

I wish knife makers offer clips but not standard. If it came with it, cool.

I dont understand why sebenzas come with a nice leather pouch AND a clip...
they should of taped the clip next to the tool inside the box.

just saying.

I don't carry without a clip, it's just not comfortable for me.
Of course I carry my SAK without one but it's small and thin enough not to be bothersome and I carry it in the watch pocket with the lanyard sticking out. =]
But for my main knife, it must have a clip of some sort.

The only knives I leave the clips on, are the Spyderco's with wire clips. All the rest clips come off,and slip into a sewn in knife pocket.

A good friend I work with carries a 707 sequel with ni clip. He has done this for 10+ years. He hates clips. Me personally, I like them and always use it. I hate having a knife float around in my pockets.

I don't care much for the clips. I often take them off a new knife. Have a few that I still use the clip in my back pocket.

Pretty sure that in Australia, anything fancy like clips is frowned upon. We are so "progressive" here!

I'm getting away from them, as my interest in traditional slip joints, and EDC worthy fixed blades increases. I've grown kinda bored with modern folders in general.

Folders 2.5 inches or less I can do with or without a clip, but bigger folders are annoying in-pocket clipless. Also, the clip keeps the knife in place so I can have other edc's such as a phone in the same pocket.

Clips make knife use uncomfortable. Might as well epoxy a cheese grater to the scale. What a waste of good handle design and materials.

Can't live without a pocket clip on a knife as they will slide out of khakki pants/shorts that I buy too easily. On the rare occasion I wear blue jeans I would have little problem going without a pocket clip minus how much I view it as an inconvenience with how I have to dig around for my knife.

Only other option would be a belt sheath for a knife, but that draws too much attention for my taste unless I am in uniform and look professional so no one cares or hassles me. Disadvantage of being around 200 pounds and in their 20's, some people still think your a dumb kid who gets in trouble even if you're the exact opposite. And when you have to work with people it's harder to do so when they already have that impression of you before you say "Hi".

To each his own.
I happen to like pocket clip carry.
There are pros and cons of course.
Pro:
Knife dont float around in the bottom of the pocket.
Knife is 'squared away' and easily accessible.
Con:
Certain types of clips can be pocket eaters.
A knife with a clip can make it annoying to get keys out of the same pocket, that the knife is clipped to.

IMO the pros outweighs the cons, but thats just me.

If a knife dont have a clip, I install one. Like on the Leatherman Juice and the SAK below
The Spyderco has a home made custom titanium clip (though the Spyderco wire clips are some of the best in the business IMO).

The NiteIze clip on the SAK here is the best most positive retaining clip, that I have (the other NiteIze clip on the Juice is a POS, as it lets the Tool slide out of a pocket with ease. No good.). It has small 'hooks' which 'bite' into the pocket material and holds the knife in position no matter how much you move about. You simply cant drop a knife out of the pocket by accident with this clip.
It does eat pockets though. Still the clip, that I like the best. I would hate having a knife dropping out of the pocket either because the clip didnt do its job or because the knife gnawed a hole in the bottom of the pocket. Positive clips for me.
