It's fun to try on an old Imperial, that was my first (only, so far) refurbishing with new covers. I think you did a Great job! A lot of subtle things you did, especially the bolsters, would be tricky, and you did it just fine. Now get onto the next one! -Brad
 
Something interesting is how the nickel silver oxidizes. I didn't know that would happen, but I like the look.
 
I am going to do at least two more of these for some friends. One will be ivory paper micarta, and the other will be dark rosewood.
 
Update - actually got started on one of these for a friend of mine who is getting married in January.

hammered domed nickel silver pins
natural rosewood scales

Great job! I also am refurbishing a knife and taking some pics so maybe i,ll post some before and after pictures. At present i havent found the scales i would like. Thought i had some Bocote which i wanted to use, but i only have some small scraps.

Fantastic! Please do post those pics. I love seeing the character in custom work.
 
Wow!! Great job on that one. You came a long way from your first attempt to the second. Looks like you really have a knack for this. :thumbup:
