Amazon Jungle Survival Trip (pics)

When we arrived he had a Falkniven but changed it out for the RC-3.

This is out of curiosity (long time Fallkniven fan  ) which Fallkniven was it? Any more details as to the switch?

PS - Absolutely wonderful post! One of the best in a long time. :)

Thanks for the kind words.

The switch was more to try out and test the RC-3. The first thing Aguilar cut was his finger. The RC-3 is sharp and not everyone keeps their knife that sharp so he wasn't ready for that kind of sharp.

When I get my RC-3 it will ingraved with name of our group on that trip and say where we were in Peru .Some may put it in a case or on display but I will use mine and post some pictures of it for you guys.

If it was me, I'd put that one in a case and buy another.

Tony, thanks. I was getting a blank screen when I tried searching before. That happens sometimes.

no problem Brian,I kicked 2 of bear's post about the Amazon trip back to the top for all of our viewing pleasures !

Great photos of your trip! Thanks for sharing. Must have been a fantastic trip, too.

OK, come clean now. What did you say to the girl in the red shirt and pink shorts to get that big grin she gave you? :D

SHE SOO HORNY SHE LOVE YOU LONG TIME:D:D:D:D

Those are awesome pictures Bear. I'd love to do that, but I'm a little old for that much adventure. Thanks for letting me see how it was.

Bear, awesome! I missed this while away. I NEED to go on the next one. The post about knives that you made is great. When it comes to big knives, I have been using a 22" Ontario black plastic-handled machete as my main chopping blade for quite awhile, even in the Northwoods. It just levels things around me like nothing else, with only a fraction of the fatigue. Sure, it might bind up in wood here and there, but not if technique is accurate. And, it's only about $20 or less retail. Blows away everything but the H.I. Khukuris, except in one major factor: the khukuris will exhaust you faster.

Hey its back.
I guess only some of us can search. Thanks for giving some of the new members another look at it!:)

It takes a real man to handle that 22" Ontario for any length of time. But it is a chopper and a half. I carry a 12" in the woods around here.

I really like the 22, and I'm no real man! LOL! I am tall though, so it's proportionate for me.
