Amazon

I'vebeen buying books from them for 5+ years and never had a single problem. Note that for us (residents of EU countries) it makes more sense to order from UK or Germany based Amazon (<http://www.amazon.co.uk> and <http://www.amazon.de>, respectively) because you avoid import duties this way, making purchase inside EU borders (but they do charge you UK or German VAT).

Bought a lot of books from them and never a problem.

I use a debit card cause I do not have a credit card, never have and never will.
If I don't have the money, I don't buy the item.

Not so much for me.

Apart from different pricing (all items I've checked were significantly cheaper on ".com") "co.uk" (and IIRC ".de" as well) charges much MORE  for shipping (as Czech republic, member of European Union since 2004, is in "rest of the world" category (e.g. along with all Asian countries except Japan :))) than amazon.com

I have had an account with Amazon for some years and have had nothing but happiness with their service and their security.
