American classic traditional pairings

This pic made me look up Marlin firearms. Thanks

You're welcome, Nathan. It is an 1894c in .38/.357, manufactured in 1980. It is one of the most fun guns my son and I have ever shot.

Here is a shot of the full rifle.

Nice pictures friends!

Time to show us some of your famous American cars too.....Buick Roadmaster and a Packard Super Clipper upturned Bathtub would be outstanding....

Teddy Roosevelt and a generic leather-wrapped handle sheath knife I found years ago and gave to my son.

From my grandfather...Johnson Woolen Mills Mackinaw (which I use)

Reminds me of a line from the Dennis Turner song on Johnny Cash's American III: Solitary Man album:

I got a Mackinaw and a huntin' dog,
a cap that I ordered from the catalog,
a big tall tree that shades the yard,
a big fat sow for the winter's lard.

I wish I was a better at taking pictures...and didn't have to use my phone to take them. There are some great pictures here.

Ben

A couple of old squirrel hunting buddies. Bottom one was hand made by a German POW on the Moran farm in 1944, Bill carried it for many years. I take it out now and then and use it gently, remembering old friends.

Carl.
