I seen the blade in the office at Buck. I asked if they would finish the knife but not finish the blade. So this is what I got. Right out of heat treat.Well, hello there!

Thanks, it used to be a 34OT which had no snap in it's very proud sheep's foot blade.Hickory n steel, I like that all metal Schrade, sort of a USA version of a Mercator. John

Still carrying that 100yr old A.C.co 6" butcher, but in a different temporary sheath
The blade size / shape , length of swedge ,and size of the 3 large rivets ( i can see theyre not cutlers compression rivets ) were an exact match to an example I happened upon a picture of online.I am genuinely curious. How were you able to ID the manufacturer and date that unmarked generic butcher knife?
