It would appear I was lacking all the facts before I said some things I shouldn't have. With that, I would like to apologize to Thrillbilly for my implications. I am perhaps a wee bit overprotective of the good Tradewater, and should have made sure I had my facts straight before I said anything untoward. For that, you have my sincere apologies Thrillbilly.

This thread is very impressive to me. It could have very easily been mentioned in private that a mistake was made. But the fact that it was made known where the discussion started is just impressive.

Sorry the issue was pressed but glad it was worked out.
 
This is the Becker forum. We beat on our knives, we beat on each other. Both can take it, and we shouldn't mean any disrespect anyway.

You got a good group here, which is why I don't spend much time on this forum. Too much work elsewhere. :(

Strength of character is sadly far to rare in this world, and having enough to admit when one is wrong and publicly at that is tops. Though there does seem to be a lot of good character in this forum, as well as characters to boot.
I still see Ted Mosby with a stash in DerekH's pic.
 
A couple guy's really dug in deep in that thread. Seems like something to remember would be to give the benefit of the doubt. Glad it got worked out.
 
I'd like to get in here and try to shed some light on this. Also to take full responsibility. I while back I had offered to send (anyone that wanted some) a bit of shock cord. A day or two later my mother fell and broke her hip. She nearly died in surgery, spent two weeks in ICU on a ventilator and had a very tough time in general. Was not expected to survive and it was a stressful time as you would expect. The shock cord fell through the cracks. I'm fairly private about personal issues so very few people knew what all Kay and I were going through at that time. TB reminded me that he had not recieved his shock cord yet and was wondering if it had gotten lost. He didn't know about what was going on here. I popped off in the chatroom (Inexcusable. Should not have and normally wouldn't.) that I had not recieved a thank you for it. Derek took it to heart (that's what friends do) and spoke up in my behalf. Not his fault in any way because TB did in fact thank me for it but I did not see it for several days. I neglected to mention that in the chatroom so Derek wasn't aware of it. My fault entirely. My apologies and again, I take full responsibility.
 
Old man, sorry to gear about your mother. Damn good of you to step in here, I didn't really need an explanation. Bloodsplatter! Ninja smoke!
 
well, i'm glad i'm more clued in now... and that it worked out. less people to ban :D
