I'm pretty sure there will be nobody else involved, it's going to be all Busse.

Anyone else really worried about that post on the XC??? I'm troubled for Ducci.

Well, I think we all see it. The HOGs all know what's going on but it's not up to us. Many of probably want him to stay, including me but up to him.

For the challenge? To try something new? To step out of the comfort zone? Why do other successful people do things like this? Where would computers be if everybody were content to have a machine that fills a room just to do basic functions? What about the space program? Artists? Architects? Researchers? Doctors & surgeons? ...etc., etc., etc...

...For the feeling of achievement, the success, and with it...the payoff. ;)

Sometimes the long term "pay off" comes from sticking with what works and what your're "into" .... "folders" are only as strong as you can make the mechanism ... if they are not what you wanted to do from the outset .... why take up a cause which would only serve to undermine what you have already achieved ??? If you think broken folders won't affect the "Busse" reputation then we differ in our views ....

Maybe the answer would be to set up a new company and make them under a different name and avoid cross contamination damage to the Busse reputation .... but why do something if you don't want to ?

How many Japanese Sword makers would see a challenge in folders ? Would you think it appropriate to push them to do so ? I see Jerry's knives as pushing the envelope of what a hard use knife can take .... insisting on him doing a folder just does'nt seem appropriate to me .... we really ought to respect him for what he has chosen to do in my view ....

Yes :( as are all of us who have been around for some time. One of the cornerstones is crumbling.

It's unfortunate, but foreseeable. He's a good guy and I hope this doesn't mean he's not going to be around. Seems like a few Old Skool HOGs are getting tired of the changes.

Yes. Of course.

But ...

My thoughts too ... "But ..."

Having gotten himself into a hole he seems to be making the mistake of still digging .... chilling out and giving it a bit of time to blow over might be better ....

Well hopefully Randucci's sell off is just lightening the safe, or making room, or some other monetary thing.

Hopefully he will still be around to contribute to the forums, and the Busse family.

As for the folder, hopefully when it happens I will have the cash to get in on it!

I am a newcomer to the party (only found Busse about 5 or so years ago), but I like the taste of the BBQ.

Some times there are disagreements, and some times there are whiners and moaners, but all in all, it is great fun, and well worth my time and effort.

There are tough knives already in production, so why try to get into the tough knife market? because you can make it tougher.

same goes for folders. There are tough folders, but that is not the end of innovation.

Swamp rat applied their warranty to their folders, it is absolutely possible that jerry will do the same.

Newcomer? Your more then twice my HOG age :-) what does that make me?

Amy's Jaxx and I guess I got you eh?:D

Nah. I enforce federal law, not break it.

Edited to add: Yet, I can see that you have recently visited my profile. Can you say the same of me??? Methinks not!!!
