An example of Flow

It was an experiment of sorts, but you could stare at this one for days and it still wouldn't resemble a knife.

If this thread was meant to draw negativity toward his work , I think that it is pretty lame.

Some may not like it or it may not be their style , but his work has a loyal following. His fit & finish is extremely well done , and it functions well as a knife should.

So just WTF was this experiment supposed to prove ?
:thumbdn:

I like the knife a lot. It instantly gives you the "futuristic" feeling, a little like Jose DeBraga's work. It is not boring. To me the angles work very well. It is one of those knives I would like to hold and play with, and certainly it is not just another knife. I would love to own it.

Just out of curiosity, could you tell me why anyone should ever respond to a question of yours again?

The original post wasn't bad, but ending it on a classically trolling note was.

This thread was not an "experiment." Threads are never "experiments." This is a classic lie told by trolls who wish to assert, in Pee Wee Hermanesque fashion, "I meant to do that," when something doesn't go as they wish it to go.

I rarely post anymore, wouldn't bother me.

It is a large clunky looking knife, in fact it doesn't even look like it would perform it's intended purpose very well and I was just trying to understand what the fascination with his knives is.

If anything, people who aren't familiar with his work, will be now, as this thread snowballs into the hysterical comments that are already showing up.

Without holding it in your hand, you wouldn't get anything but someone else's experience....which is like trying to describe sex.....with a woman, for clarification....not yourself.

Very not cool Anthony......have fun with yourself.

I have held his knives, I can't get the perspective of others?

I have fun with myself every night.:)

For the record, I am not a fan of Mr. Carillo's knives....my experiences mirror those of others who find them heavy, and expensive.

That said, I appreciate his designing and executing "outside the box", and if he brings in collectors who might otherwise not be interested in knives, than I say that is a good thing.

BUT... A BAD THING is having an unstated agenda, and when people give you an honest opinion that you appeared to request, and then pop up with this agenda going "neener neener" is extremely bad form, immature and disingenuous....I'm very disappointed in you and your behavior, Anthony..this thread, and the previous discourtesy that you displayed to Artem(sp?)....:grumpy:..you were once a significantly more upstanding Forumite.

If I could find even a small reason for this post other than boredom or you just have a f...ed sense of self I would argue that you have a right to do what you did here. But I can't .

You are a blight on our small community of collectors. Perhaps you will invite yourself to go elsewhere.
