An incomplete trade

I am looking for more/different/better contact info for a Jason Anderson
We made a trade.

I sent him a deerelight and cash and 2 custom knives.
He sent a busse AD and was to make kydex sheaths for the 2 customs as the final part of the trade.

His wife, April, did send the AD, but he still has the customs and no communication since 1/20/2010.

I know he is busy, but 3 weeks and no email reply has me on tilt.

i have his address, but no phone number.
He replied to an email i sent for a busse for sale ad.
Now I cant find the original email with his BF member name (moderators can you help me find this onsite contact??)
I have his current email.

If anyone has info or dealings please let me know here.
My last email to him stated I would be making this post today and ..holding off based on on-the-edges post (possibly contacting authorities Monday.)

I really just want the knives back, even if the sheathes were never made.

Edited to add: BTW, I would slow down on contacting the authorities. Jason has been here a LONG time and has done a lot of business with a lot of folks. He has not always been timely with things, but I can unequivocally say that he has NEVER stolen anything. Of course, poor or no communication is not pleasant, but it is quite different than outright theft.

I have met Jason and OTE, and I know both are trustworthy people.

Jason's life is at one of those inflection points ... he's making a big change. That, no doubt, is taking his attention away from this. I don't mean to make an excuse -- Jason has certainly done this before. Instead, I'd just like to let you know Jason has always made it right ... eventually.:o

He's a young man and sometimes the young don't keep up with the boring parts of life.

I never felt weird about this transaction until week 3 of no reply.
Even then, his military background reminded me of his honor.

I am glad to hear the same confirmed opinion from others.
I will wait.

Considering he is from Louisiana, quite a few things have happened. The Saints won the NFC Championship and then the Superbowl and THEN it snowed like h$ll for the last 24 hours......

If he is like me, he was preoccupied with the Saints.....been a fan since they became a team in the NFL. Geaux Saints!!!! Cajun variation.... :-)

Jason is a good guy and I consider him a friend as well. He does operate at a Southern pace at times, but will come through for you.

received the package with my knives today.
no sheaths, so still not finished a deal, but at least the blades are home.
 
no sheaths and no $$ refund as promised.
glad to have the knives back but lets finish this...
send my $$ or sheaths, asap.
he left me his number, but no answer and mailbox is always full.
????
 
Sounds to me like you've run afoul of another unreliable craftsman. Some of the responses in this thread have me scratching my head. He couldn't get his work done because he's on "southern time" or because the Saints won the superbowl? He's young and following through on our obligations is boring? How absurd can we get?

Either you are a professional or you are not. Either you can get the work done or you can't. If circumstance dictates you can not then the VERY LEAST you can do is communicate to your customer the problem and outline several "get well" plans to allow your customer to choose what they want to do.
 
I am sorry to hear this yet again. I have lost all comunication with Jason and don't understand what is happening with him. I hope that he can come through this respectably and make things right.
 
Arghh! How frustrating!! I have no idea what is going on in Jason's life right now and have not communicated with him for some time. Regardless of what has been going on, however, this issue should have already been fully handled, period! I am comfortable in stating that Jason is not a thief, but his priorities are clearly NOT in order. :grumpy:
 
yep.

why say you are sending a refund, then i open the box and there is a note saying," i didnt have time to get any $$ in this box, I'll send it."
even offered to pay another sheath maker to make the sheaths. but nothing.
originally said he roughed in the sheaths but didnt finish. I told him to send the partially made sheaths and id finish them. nothing.

once someone is caught in an awkward position, why cant they man up and make it right, versus continuing to deceive?

anyone know his momma's number, he needs a proper, "DO IT, BOY"

its chump change compared to the knives values...but still an unfinished deal.

OK...whats with all the excuse making guys???? I know most of you guys through the forum, and you are all big members of this community, so you all know, what Jason is doing, and what he has done in the past, is simply, INEXCUSABLE! PERIOD!
Since I am one of the guys that had to endure this same crap in the past from Jason, I think I have a right to speak up here. What is going on? I know that Jason served honorably, and was wounded in combat...I admire this in a man, but what does this, or his past have to do with anything going on here in this Forum.
I can answer this for you....NOTHING.
I dont know why, after so many bad reports, hes still one of the "Good Ol Boys"??? Would I, or anyone else get the same treatment? I wonder?
Jason, deals for himself, and doesnt care about you....or the deal. He takes his sweet time, and makes excuses.
Deal with him, at your own peril. This is what needs to be said, so that the GB&U is doing its job for the new guys.

As you can read, I toned down my defense as we have gone along. I find it to go against the grain to write negative about Jason especially since I never had a bad experience with him. In fact he sent a free sheath for my USCG son when OldPhysics assisted in getting him a Busse Game Warden. Jason has sent me knives before payment and proxied for me at knife shows. I have done the same for him in return and he has made sure I was funded for it.

As I stated before, I am perplexed by what seems to be happening now and have no idea what is going on with him since I have lost contact with him for over a year now.
I really wish he would come by and clear this up and hopefully all parties be satisfied.
