An untruth about the Emerson Kandahr

Hmm, I'll take a stab at it. My guess is it's the website for the Charro commemorative knife. The "Cuchi cuchi."

:D

Vinnie, if you think "Trying to market a product and make money off the hard work of [our troops]...is in very poor taste", perhaps you should look a little closer to home. Emerson hasn't done that, but you know who has tried that.

I find wrapping yourself in the Marine Corps flag to protect you from critcism of your outright slander to be "in very poor taste." Further, I personally believe your actions here constitute a violation of the UCMJ, which does restrict your ability to "post whatever I want to." You bring no credit to yourself, your Corps, or your country by publishing this calumny.

You owe Ernest Emerson a public apology.

I do not know any of the parties involved in this dispute and I have only ever handled one of the blades in question (the D-9) so I would normally be inclined to stay out of this dispute.

That said whenever somebody accuses any man of being unpatriotic without anything but some BULLSHIT story that a friend told him I feel sick to my stomach.
I think that we all know that you owe Mr. Emerson an apology and that should you have wished to criticise a product of his then you should have done so in a far better manner, but for you to bring your service record into discussion to justify your slander is abhorrent.

In short you should delete this thread cause it makes you look like an arsehole!!!!!!

OKAY ALL STOP!!

This is developing into some crazy ass goatfk.

Ernie, sorry for posting on your forum. Hope Im not out of line.

I would have let this go but Ernie and Vince are both friends of mine.

I tell ya, these forums are like “Days Of Our Knives”. Not everything needs to be taken to the most finite point possible.

The “this knife looks like that knife” is a non-issue. There was a discussion between Ernie and Duane regarding a few points on carry system. That is the business of Ernie and Duane. Not mine, not yours.
If you have an opinion regarding this, that is fine. But it is your opinion.

The issue at hand is this:
The use of an entity (First Force Co.) to promote a product as an issue item, when in fact it is/isn’t.
How many SEAL watches are there?
SEAL knives?
SEAL condoms…
SEAL snacks…
Force doesn’t want that.

1. Vince was informed via “source” that Emerson Knives promoted their knife as an issue item to his unit. And that, that knife was used by a Force platoon in an ambush in Afghanistan. Vince was present at the time the ambush occurred, the knife was not.

2. Could the “source” be wrong? Of course. Should Vince divulge his “source”? GET REAL!

3. Could someone, at Emerson or anywhere, other than Mr Ernie have started this rumor? Of course.

4. Does it REALLY matter? FKNO!

This has gone on long enough. I appreciate all the loyalty shown to Ernie. Im sure Ernie does as well. Im also fairly sure that he would rather this drama fade away. There are no winners in this type of ****. And to be honest THIS is what makes these forums suck.

Vince, much like Ernie, is honest completely. He is also the only person I have met that tells it like it is more that myself. I appreciate the respect given to him for his position. Many have spoken with respect to his service, even if to argue after the fact. Thank you for that. It is understandable to me that he became worked up over this. Often it is VERY hard to vent certain frustrations that go along with the job.

The flavor I get from this thread, much like a lot of things I have been seeing lately is that there is a rivalry between the Emerson and Strider camps. As far as I know, THERE IS NOT. And the fact that people try to generate one pisses me off. Im not talking about Vince. I know Vince and know that his point was regarding issuance to Force. Im talking about the others, and you know who you are.

Ernie and Vince are big boys. Lets let them work this out and move on to better things.

Simply my opinion

Mick

PS Mr. Seth, will you please e-mail me regarding this…
“perhaps you should look a little closer to home. Emerson hasn't done that, but you know who has tried that. “
Thanks

I for one have nothing to add to the controversy. I just got home, a little drunk and wanted to say that I think Emerson Knives and Strider knives both KICK ASS! Phuck all the controversy, let's do some test cuttin'. Nothing like Jack and Coke to put the proper spin on things:cool:
